You overlooked Les Reed at 14%, and Steve Wigley at 6%.

Interesting to see a manager on there who has a 59% win ratio (we were one of those wins under MoPo) who is currently available and would take a short term contract. Tim Sherwood. That Aston Villa side were so bad, I don't think his spell there should be considered. Ask Harry Kane how good he was for him. 100% an upgrade on Pellegrino, and cheap.

Fascinating chats I had with Pellegrino and Romeu this week - MP said new #saintsfc owners are learning and are keeping board in place for 3 years...

Romeu said MP is not the ‘main problem’ at club. Thinks lots of players performing below their level all season, including him

Pellegrino played Hoijberg as a number 10 against Liverpool, and our best player (Lemina) as a defensive midfielder. One of the only players we have with pace, skill and vision. That is a key tactical decision which led us to chase the game from beginning to end. Later in the game when we were 0-2 down he changed Romeu for Davis as our last substitution. That is NOT the fault of the players and anything to say otherwise in the media is propaganda from the club. Decisions like that are not exclusive to this game and neither are chants of 'you don't know what you're doing'. The players we have are decent, the squad is strong but underperforming. The manager IS the problem. Poor recruitment for the second time in a row. The boards hand needs to be forced.

Perfectly put, players are good enough, the manager is not.

Reminds me of the old ales Dawson sketch. “I played the notes perfectly, just not in the right order”.

"Footballer doesn't slag off his boss" shocker! Sometimes I wonder whether journalists are just dumb or will write anything to prove they have an inside scoop and spoken to a player...does he really think any player is going to say the current boss is the problem?

He did say that Pellegrino’s not the “main problem”, which implies that Pellegrino’s still a problem. You’d hope that the first team manager would be part of the solution instead.

Watching the amount of goals we are scoring with defenders, I’m wondering if MP does have something to offer.

Where we seem to have a glaring gap is with our midfield and forwards coaching.

MP needs a top class forward/midfield coach to work alongside him.

Given our weakest players are now our Centre Backs somehow MP is getting them working above their Capabilites not as Romeu suggests, below.

Perhaps the answer is not to remove him now, but reinforce him with a decent attack/midfield coach and tactician?

Just a thought.

Not a bad idea. Perhaps we could draft in specific midfield and attacking coaches as well to help him out? As we are letting a few goals in perhaps Pellegrino could specialise in 'attacking defending' from corners and we could also employ a 'defensive defending' coach?

Either that or we could bring someone in who can, you know, do a bit of everything? Like Guus Hiddink? Or we could bring Van Gaal in as Pellegrino's assistant? Or, well, just sack him really.

Dunno, jury's out. Nobody has really nailed their views to the mast in this 'Pellegrino out' forum.

I like it. If he isn't going to get sacked, bring in someone who can help out with some of the managing duties. Pearson would be great. He can take care of the sports fitness part. And also be in charge coaching/tactics of the defence, midfield and attack. Pellegrino will be in charge of everything else.

Perhaps we can have a special 'cupboard facility' to keep Pellegrino in on match days? You know, just so other teams don't steal him...or something?

As long as the cupboard is somewhere near, like New Zealand for example.

Gabbiadini’s goal saved Pellegrino’s bacon today. Unfortunately I just can’t see us surviving relegation if Pellegrino remains in charge.

I can

I'm with Uncle Albert. That equaliser means he can claim to have it under control, taken the point he wanted. We absolutely have to beat Stoke next week. 38 points is the minimum we need, and one point per game won't get us there. West Brom will fire Pardew within 24 hours, have Silva installed within 48 hours and mount a challenge to escape. Meanwhile, we will trickle to 'too little too late city'.

Getting to the stage where I think the board don't actually give a f*ck.

Ive supported Saints through countless relegation battles. But this one is pointless and totally unnecessary. I still believe that a new manager will get so much more from the team than the useless w*nker in charge.

Well if the board don't care, then they can't reasonably expect me to hand over my hard-earned cash to them.

Well done you f*ckwits, you've successfully turned the proverbial silk purse into a sow's ear.

This is probably ludicrously wishful thinking on my part, but given that Les was on the pitch with Pellegrino pre-match, is the Muppet finally being put under some sort of scrutiny? Or are we still waiting for the penny drop?

You’d hope that Les saw that performance, particularly in the first half and finally realized that Pellegrino’s not good enough at this level. He won’t though. Pellegrino will be in charge for the Stoke game. The Stoke supporters can thank Les later.

Mope's savvy rewarded today, accumulating the positives, lost only one in nine, through to the FA cup next round. job well done today, his late changes made a positive effect.

it's one point, but the draw is almost the same as a win.

our league position looks a hell of a lot more positive after that goal, think this could be a crucial point come May...

He deserves credit for the subs working out to produce an equalizer, but not for the dire performance that preceded it.

He’s won two games in the last 19 PL matches, with both wins coming against proverbial crisis clubs. It beggars belief that he’s still in charge.

Yep, what you said. Totally and utterly inept. We don't need draws we need victories. That game was there for the taking.

It really looks like that. They probably know that they ****ed up with the Puel sacking, so are determined to stick with the clown come hell or high water. In that old fart Reed's case, he's safe in the knowledge he can jump ship and retire in Benidorm if we go down. And Krueger probably has some hockey gig lined up back in Canada.

Still amazed Les and Ralph sat through that yesterday and convinced themselves the bog-eyed gump is worth persevering with. What do they think is around the corner, what do they think the master plan is, where is any tangible sign of progress? Completely baffling - especially as there is absolutely no objective reason for keeping him on after a drawn out post-season review. This season is just one drawn out sense of powerlessness and impotence in the face of glaring incompetence.

My assessment is that our last two appointments have been massive downgrades

My assessment is that our last two appointments have had to manage with a massive downgrade to the quality of our squad.

My assessment is that our last two appointments appeared to be the best of those who wanted to come and manage at SFC at a salary the club can afford

It's to late to sack him....... He is with us until end of season then hopefully the board will for once do the right thing and hire a manager with a bit of actual premiership experience.....

I think it's been quite clear for a while he isn't going anywhere...

Personally I think that having stuck with him, I don't see why they would get rid in the summer whatever the result, stay up or go down.

Didn’t we turn down Rudi Garcia and Manuel Pellegrini after Koeman left? Last summer I cannot remember if we were linked to any other managers, except that Tuchel turned us down.

If we stay up and sack Pellegrino, the board have to spend significant to convince a decent manager to come over and manage us.
