That's harsh. He was great at Sunderland but struggles under the pressure at Anfield. At 29 (compared to Boruc's 37) he can easily refind some form. The main barrier for me would be cost.

Wouldn't surprise me if we're waiting till the end of window to see the ladder so the club know how little they can get away with investing.

Transfer windows should be seen as an opportunity to strengthen the team. Instead the club sees them as an opportunity to strengthen it's bank account.

If we'd made even half decent progress in the first "easy" half of the season then maybe there'd be a chance but not now given the current position and run in. The parallels with 2005 are uncanny.

Given that we are signing a striker hand picked by MP it doesn’t look like we are planning on / close to replacing him any time soon. Pathetic.
