As we head into November we havent yet heard anything as to what the plans are from our new owner.

Its fair to say the club are going around in circles with no real accountability in the boardroom and poor decisions made are not being scrutinized enough.

The selling of our best players has caught up with the club bigtime.

We are 'treading water' ......so what are you going to do about it ?

January will tell us a lot.

The manager needs to be heavily backed, which unfortunately means spending money, probably more than you would like to. Another bad window then serious questions need to be asked of Les Reed / Ross Wilson as we will be in deep trouble.

It's not all about spending lots of money...many clubs have spent big and are in a far worst place than us....Its all in the coaching, bonding of the players and management...Tactics etc. For me its about placing a management in with a proven record if the club can afford to. Mangers with a proven record cost big bucks.

You've contradicted yourself in one post. Well done.

We could get Pep or Poch in tomorrow... We may improve, but with the squad we have and lack of pace / directness from our front 3, we still would struggle to score goals.

The investment needs to be in a good manager....not a shed load of players that under perform

The club has got itself in a right mess somehow. We have a clueless manager and backroom staff and invisible executive.

We have a Director of Football drunk and complaicent with his recent achievements who believes he has the Midas touch, but in reality its been downhill for over the past year.

We will lose Bertrand and VVD in January, though considering their interest and commitment maybe thats not the disastrous news it once would have been.

When was the last time the club sold a core first team player in January? (Don't bother looking it has never happened)

We are ten games into the season.....

Les has not become complacent (correct spelling).

To keep doing what has been done in previous seasons is so tough I really do not know what our fan base expects

Is it fair to say that you have no idea of the veracity of that statement? Fee free to provide Board minutes.

Club Captain last January. (early in the window so we had enough time to recruit, which didnt happen!)

Hardly a core player at the time.

Behave! He was club captain and played 17 of the 19 Premier League games up until the end of December when he started his hissy fit! (plus 2 in the EFL Cup. It was just the Europa League games that he wasn't involved in)

I think it is to sit tight, avoid being relegated and in about ten years their investment may well have doubled............

Are you seriously expecting them to sign up to this forum and reply to you?

Which of our best players did we sell this summer?

"Treading water"... Really? The squad has been improved compared to last season with the addition of Hoedt and Lemina.

The club has got itself in a right mess somehow. We have a clueless manager and backroom staff and invisible executive.

A mess? Really? :mcinnes: We are 9th in the league, it could have gone better but it is hardly a disaster to sit 9th out of 92 English league teams!

Has MLG changed his log-in name ??

I struggled to see what you gain from every post being negative dribble for the last 11 years.

Southampton have been in existence for 132 years... in that time we have had 2 golden era in the top flight.

i) the early to mid 1980s

ii) 2013 to the present (we've had 4 top 8 finishes in the last 4 years ffs!)

We are currently watching our team in only its second top flight golden era... and all you can do is post drivel after drivel of ill-informed nonsense. :mcinnes:

Cheer up ffs!

Continue to make money , People aren't investing in premier league clubs for their own egos these days there is serious profit to be made if you are wise .

Imo they know they can take a nice drink and if the **** starts to hit the fan they have enough collateral to make some if not most of their investment back.
