Good Morning,

Firstly, Happy New Year.

I hope its ok to post this, but I just wanted to give our dedicated Saints Podcast (Total Saints Podcast) - a quick plug, for anyone that hadn't come across it/listened to it previously.

We are weekly Podcast, which started at the beginning of this season, discussing all the goings-on in and around St. Mary's - which, lets be honest, is quite a lot these days!

Our regular weekly guest is Adam Leitch, Chief Sports Writer at the Southern Daily Echo - who has watched, written and talked about Saints for 16 years now.

We also have other regular guests on as well (from fans to ex-players), giving their views (in a level-headed manner!) about our beloved Saints.

This includes Steve from SaintsWeb – who joined us for our Christmas Special, alongside Motor Racing legend Tiff Needell. (Episode 18 - http://bit.ly/2qHfsHO).

Anyway, there are several ways to find all the current/previous Podcast Episodes:

SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-624988137

iTunes: https://t.co/woppSCNsgR

acast: https://www.acast.com/totalsaintspod

We have just passed 10,000 listens this season (via SoundCloud) and do our very best to keep it varied and interesting every week.

Anyway, if you'd like to take a listen then you're more than welcome. As you are to feedback.

Thanks and Up The Saints!

Ben

Just seen there's no podcast this week.

I wanted an hour long episode with Billy Sh*te (with swearing allowed).

Yeah, sorry! Blame Sky and their late scheduling for this week’s lack of Podcast. We’ll be back next week though.

Ps - his brilliant Blog today covers most of them, i’m Sure! ;)

Evening all,

The latest Podcast is available now - Episode 25.

We (Ben, Adam, Robbie and Mark Taylor) celebrate another win against West Brom (they're getting a bit boring now, eh.....), discuss Alex McCarthy's great form (*curse klaxon*), and look ahead to the Burnley game this coming weekend.

Even more importantly than that, Mark - who suffers from Myeloma - talks about his challenge battling cancer, and how the love and support he gets from fellow Saints fans helps him fight on. Very inspiring (and humbling) to record/listen to.

Anyway, the links to TSP 25 are here:

Fingers crossed for a decent result up at Turf Moor this Saturday,

“It was abysmally bad. Just a terrible terrible game of football”

Adam Leitch was pulling no punches on this week's Total Saints Podcast (Episode 26). He was very unimpressed by Burnley, Bobby Madley and particularly Saints - who, he felt, missed out on an excellent opportunity to pick up 3 much needed points.

Alongside reviewing another Pellegrino-led shambles at Turf Moor, we also cover off:

☀️ Warm weather training camps

FA Cup QF fixture farce

Supporters panel

️ And preview next weekend's Stoke City fixture (including another 'negative prediction' from yours truly. Apologies!)

Happy listening and, as ever, any comments/feedback is always welcome - I promise we still love Saints really!

Cheers

Ben

Episode 27 of Total Saints Podcast is online now.

Adam Leitch again joins me (Ben Stanfield) to discuss all things Saints - which, lets face it, have been practically the same things for about the last 8-10 weeks! Anyway, I digress...

In attempt to not sound too repetitive, this week's topics cover:

- The drab 0-0 draw with Stoke City.

- Josh Sims/Nathan Redmond.

- Pellegrizzzzzzzzno

- Whether Adam thinks (like Ben does!) that Saints are lucky fans aren't showing more discontent at the current state of affairs - on and off the pitch.

- Points predictions between now and the end of the season - including fans opinions (spoiler: general views = we're in the sh*t!)

- The probable drab encounter with Newcastle next weekend.

Its a Podcast of frustration, worry, passion and even a little cynicism - which should hopefully keep some of our 'fans' happy (**Cough....SuperSAINT....!**)

As ever there are several ways to listen to the Podcast:

acast: http://bit.ly/2qCeo8a

iTunes: http://apple.co/2FiJ0zk

SoundCloud: http://bit.ly/2FggaTD

As ever we appreciate your feedback, comments, things that we can improve on, things that we should talk about, things that we shouldn't, whether we're actually any good at Podcasts etc!

I'm off to Newcastle myself next week. Can't wait!!

Total Saints Podcast, Episode 29 sees us welcome back the owner of this fabulous site, Steve Grant.

Alongside Adam Leitch and Ben Stanfield, Steve discusses Pellegrino's exit from Saints (finally) and a new manager arriving (finally), in Mark Hughes.

There is also a clip of Greg Baker (Head of Saints Foundation) talking about the new Southampton FC 'We March On' exhibition, opening at the SeaCity Museum on the 29th March.

Finally, despite being included in Episode 28 as well (as it was only 4 days ago - before the Club decided they'd outdate that Episode for us as quickly as they could!), Barry Worthington - Wigan Athletic fan, and host of Progress with Unity Podcast - helps us preview this weekend's FA Cup Quarter Final.

3 simple (and free) ways to listen:

It may be the 'international break', but that hasn't stopped our latest Episode of Total Saints Podcast (Ep. 30).

* Our FA Cup Quarter-Final triumph against Wigan Athletic.

* Mark Hughes - what we've made of him so far.

* The much needed (imminent) return of Charlie Austin.

* Saints 'record breaking' financial figures for 2016-17 - and particularly if/how Saints should use those to look at St. Mary's season ticket prices.

* The crucial next match, this coming weekend, against West Ham United.

I enjoy these podcasts, thanks. Makes a change not getting the odd 30 seconds on Football Weekly/The Game/Totally Football podcast. How is it doing with subscribers?

Thanks for the feedback. It’s much appreciated and good to hear you enjoy them.

On average we get around 900 plays of each episode, and from right around the globe as well. Obviously never going to be as much traffic as some of the biggest Clubs around, but we do it for the enjoyment (often of having a ‘rant’) more than trying to take over the world anyway.

You can now find Episode 31 of Total Saints Podcast online.

Available to listen to via any of these sites:

acast: https://bit.ly/2qCeo8a

iTunes: https://apple.co/2FiJ0zk

SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2ImHPzf

Obviously we (Adam Leitch and Ben Stanfield) discuss the shambles (another one!) at West Ham (somehow worse than Newcastle as well!). We also look at the upcoming Arsenal game.

To lighten the mood in the middle (well, hopefully!), we also have the best from last week's official opening of the Southampton FC and SeaCity Museum "We March On: Then and Now" Exhibition, celebrating 132 years of memorabilia and stories about our great Club (and City).

Speakers include Cllr. Satvir Kaur, Lawrie McMenemey, Matthew Le Tisser, Nelly Gao (daughter of our owner, Gao Jisheng) and also our Chairman, Mr Krueger.

The Exhibition is well worth a visit for any Saints lover - at only £3.50 a ticket. Another positive..........there's only a very small section on our current bunch!!!!

Willing the season to end as quickly as possible,

B

The latest podcast, raises (again) the mistakes that Reed (and the Board) made in the December and January period:-

1. Not replacing Pelligrino in December to give the new Manager more time with the team (10 weeks more).

2. Not buying a striker at the start of January to give them time to get up to speed.

3. Not buying a dominating centre back at start of January to replace VVD and arguably Fonte.

4. Choosing to sit on £20m+ profit from VVD sale.

It was not just one bad decision, but a series of bad decisions, that all increased the chances of us getting relegated. Madness.

Yep, it’s been a catalogue of errors. A collective ‘you know what’. The worry is that'll make accountability very hard to pinpoint/acknowledge at the end of the season!!

Episode 32 - Total Saints Podcast

Another week. Another Podcast. Another Saints defeat. :mcinnes:

Its an all too familiar pattern this season for Southampton fans. Despite a more committed display at Arsenal (well, certainly compared to last week at West Ham anyway!), it was still zero points collected and another step nearer relegation.

Ben Stanfield (host of TSP), Adam Leitch (Chief Sports Writer at the Southern Daily Echo) and Richard Brereton (Saints fan and Head Writer/Editor of Saints Panel) join forces to reflect on the Arsenal game, as well as to desperately search for some hope and optimism ahead of next week's fixture at St. Mary's, against Antonio Conte's Chelsea.

Things certainly look bleak for Saints now, with just 6 Premier League games left to play.

Alongside that, with the sole purpose to try and lighten the mood (hopefully!), Richard and Ben also rattle through their "Worst Saints Premier League XI's", with some familiar names securing their places - including Ali Dia!

But who'd be in yours? Feel free to let us know SWF folk!
