Oh well. Can't do the basics.

After how good Newcastle were, this is laughable. **** off Saints.

Have we got a defence on the pitch ?

  16. Default

Easy goal there. Hopefully we can at least put up some resistance ... so far looking over powered.

Hoedt is getting worse and worse each week. Certainly not a decent VVD/Fonte replacement so far. Both of those started fast as well.

Hoedt again, he really is the liability in our defence, really would be happier with Yoshida. Awful defending.

**** me that was amateurish from Hoedt. And he's our main man in defence now.

How many did we concede against the scousers last season with Puel?

Big game, all our rivals stepping up. Saints just freeze like rabbits in the headlights, the image of our pathetic coach. Liverpool will barely break a sweat today.

The Dutch Aaron Martin. Stephens/Hoedt is not a premier league CB pairing that will keep us up.

Poor defending and we’re so nervy. They know we have to win right? Seem so unmotivated again. We had the ball well in their last third just now and managed to work it all the way back to our keeper. Typical of this manager. No balls

So much for my wish of us merely competing

That was before Salah so not a fair comparison. And we've oddly dropped Yoshida.

Awful, no fight. It’s like they’ve been watching the earlier matches and said, “oh well, that’s that then”.

We look very good passing sideways/backwards!

Liverpool’s pressing is quite easy for them when a team like us passes it slowly

He so reminds me of Hoiveldt! Sadly the BBC preview got it right; sold too many good players, recruited too many poor ones. These are the games where the likes of Tadic, Ward-Prowse become invisible.

Well he'd better invest and take some action then or he won't be watching them much over the next few years!

I suspect well lose today. But yes, I think its a lack of quality in the squad due to sales. Plus a one dimensional manager that has us in this position. It's not over yet though.. we've fought ok last 5 mins.

Jesus, a lot of posters here make me embarrassed to be a Saints fan. Game over after 10 minutes,no one can save us blah blah blah. Until survival is mathematically impossible I'm going to keep believing.

The performance hasn’t been too bad so far. Hoedt’s lack of skill for the Liverpool goal was unfortunate.

    Decent chance for Hoj.
