    Awful.

Talk about having our noses rubbed in it by our ex-players too.

Well I was hoping we would come out all guns blazing today, but this display has been a pathetic response to our win last week.

Very sad that we are throwing in the towel already this season and resigning to relegation.

Not with Les the buffoon and the clueless owner around it wonít be. Mind you, 2-0 and Lallana not scoring wouldnít be as bad as Iíd feared if it ends like that. Letís face it, it is Bottom 3 v top four contender and thatís how it looks on the pitch today. Carvalho has really got Swansea fighting by contrast.

I donít know what Mr Bean says to them but the first 10 minutes are diabolical. At WBA you might get away with it but not Liverpool and a forward line with Firmino, Sarah and Mane in it.

At least in the first half we gave it a decent go.

This second half has been utterly awful.

Not a chance unfortunately, I reckon if WBA beat us 10-0 Reed would still stand by his man - we are going down via a heady mix of ineptitude and vanity.

Same could be said all season. Pellegrinos motivational half time speeches working well.

Lallana came close there. That would have been unfortunate.

This has been coming for months - utterly predictable and completely avoidable if the board were prepared to act.

We 'stand firm' against Liverpool's 'illegal" approach for VVD and then we allow him to play and help destroy us by his negativity before we then sell him to them anyway and get no replacements.

Then we spend an entire month chasing shadows - do nothing to get rid of a clueless inept manager and gamble on other teams being worse than us in order to keep us up!

Well that worked well didn't it - now there isn't a class manager in the world who would want to come in even if we did get rid of this clown and all those years of steady growth and building have been chucked away in the space of 4 months!

We are in all likelihood down and I'm ashamed of how we appear to the rest of the footballing world - it's a joke!!!!!!!!!!

If I was the owner I would have sacked MP myself before Christmas and certainly at half time today - he doesn't deserve the title of manager.

That must have been a humdinger of a halftime team talk by Pellegrino, to produce this level of performance in the second half.

Our passing has been so poor. General play had been slow and predictable. Ho-hum.

Our passing is awful, especially Bertrand Boufal, tadic. We didn't have any shots in the second half. We look poor and pet hectic. Now Liverpool show us their collections of Southampton.

    But Mane is poor today.

Carillo would be worth the 19 million if he could somehow force Lovren and VD into a sickening collision

So many Saints passes go astray that I assume that we're colour blind to that garish orange strip.

The only good thing about this pathetic capitulation being seen on TV around the world is that our anonymous owner might actually get to see this shambles and ask some questions of old bumbling Les. We are doomed if this idiot "coach" is not sacked before the next game. Does anyone at the club actually care?

There probably won’t be enough home supporters left to muster up a decent “sacked in the morning” chant at the end.

We were always going to lose.

Beat WBA next week and beat Burnley who have numerous injuries.

Going down with a whimper. This second half has been gutless, guileless, helpless.

Obviously Liverpool are a better team than us, but we haven't even given them a game. They've won without breaking a sweat.

The Carrillo signing means this inept manager is going nowhere. Unfortunately I expect him to lead the promotional push next season.

Carillo looks like another striker who is not going to score many goals for us.

Nice to see we ain’t going down without a fight, really going for it.

    FT: 0-2.

That was a very poor second half. No fight. No character.

First half good going forward, had a go, let in a terrible goal and a well worked goal.
Second half terrible going forward kept a clean sheet. Lose 2-0. Wtf?
Christ, play for the 2-0 defeat!! Genius thinking.
