Gao's authority

Since sacking MP and bringing anyone else in is likely to involve spending a minimum of £5-6m (possibly a lot more) I wonder if the problem is that extraordinary expenses of that nature have to be approved by the majority shareholder, and that authorisation isn't forthcoming? It would certainly explain why Reed and Kruger seem able offer little but platitudes and pledges, and presumably their terms of employment would forbid them from coming out and telling us that the reason they're not doing anything is because they aren't allowed to. All speculation, as we've heard nothing from the owners, but I'd be very surprised if anyone other than Gao had the final say over expenditure at that level.

He's clearly sitting back and letting the people who 'are here' make the calls, so this is all in Reed's and Krugers court. There will be money to terminate his contract. If there isn't, then there should be an enquiry as to where the **** it has gone.

We were seemingly prepared to spend £30m on Quincy Promes in the hope he would keep us up.

Seeing as we didn't, spending £5m to pay off one of the worst managers in PL history instead to help keep us up seems like a bargain.

Can’t believe Kat sold the club to this shower. All this talk of making sure our future is safeguarded and that it’s the correct decision for everyone and we’re on the cusp of relegation which could so easily result in a second relegation next season.

Gao must have advisors who would have put him in the picture about our current plight and the financial implications? Why no action, or even a statement from him.
