Saints Team coach

The team on a 3.00 clock kick off usually arrives at the ground four hours before. They will travel from home and park in Chapel End car park. As this was an early lunchtime kick off guess they would have stayed at Grand Harbour Hotel for the night and breakfast. That arrived 20 min before Chelsea coach.

I thought Staplewood was equipped with accommodation for the team, the original thinking was the players arriving back late from a game wouldn’t be disturbing the rest of their own house when getting home in the small hours. That’s was something I recall from all the alleged state of the art sport science we were applying to help make us the wonderous phenomena we once were.

There were two Ellison coaches outside St Marys yesterday

Assumed on was for the Chelsea team and the other was logoed up as Saints team coach

I assumed the team had stayed at a Hotel overnight and had been bused in for an early kick off

They did, not that it helped in hindsight!

I believe they keep the coach oop north most of the time, easier to collect the team from various airports for away games, they don't do a lot of travelling on coaches.

Think it's garaged somewhere around the Preston area, that'll be handy for when we play them next season.

They along with all visiting teams stay at Hilton Ageas, West End. Some sort of arranged deal.

Man utd won't stay again for some reason.

I saw the Saints team coach today around 1:30pm at J19 northbound of the M6. Can’t think why it was heading north. Anyone any ideas? Does it get used by anyone else apart from Saints?

Probably on a private hire booking. Saints don't own it, the coach company does, so they can utilise it for other work when Saints don't need it. Or it could have been taking one of the junior teams to a game.
