    Default Weekend’s other games

Salah misses a sitter. Doesn’t make a difference really but of course need Stoke dead and buried if only because they are Stoke.

    Liverpool struggling to beat stoke!!!!

A point for Stoke won't be good enough, as long as they don't win.

Was that Mariner who missed a blatant handball by stoke?

Actually the perfect result for us imo - even if they win their last two we finish above them with another 7 points and if we didn't get 7 points we would be down anyway. On top of that they may now have something to play for on the last day against Swansea which may prove very helpful.

yep. plus if chelsea win all their games (including one versus liverpool), means they both finish on same number of points. so hopefully chelsea will go for it against huddersfield and swansea!
and providing we drag brighton back into it, then liverpool vs brighton will have an incentive for both teams.

The pitch was probably too dry.
We really need Chelsea to turn up against Swansea, I can see them not bothering today

Guys, it's not Stoke we have to worry about. Swansea, Huddersfield and Brighton have the say in whether we stay up.

For a result that is utterly irrelevant to us staying up or not?

Just seen Palaces goals, superb attacking football.

We just need Chelsea and Man City to do their jobs against Swansea and West Ham, that would leave Swansea 1 point ahead and Huddersfield and West Ham just 3 ahead with worse goal differences, meaning 1 win could do it.

    I can't see it. 3 points minimum.

IF Chelsea do their stuff, a win for us against Swansea should do it. Huddersfield are looking very vulnerable with the fixtures to come.

Just seen that Pompey lost to Bury. What a day!

  18. Default

I guess Huddersfield are 3 points away but if Swansea somehow get a win here it will knock the stuffing out of our players a bit, I reckon.

Come on Chelsea, a demoralising thrashing of Swansea would be welcome.

Even at our lowest ebb, they are still capable of providing us with the comedy.

Still is for most teams that aren't the big 6. The consensus in my thread was that it was days like today that we need to enjoy and know that we’ll lose great players or make risky signings that don’t work out.

But you knew that, you are just being a knob and an aggressive **** as usual.

Thoughts on Chelsea vs Swansea? To me it looks like they’re just looking to win the mental battle, in case the play them in the cup next year.

You are a tiresome and unlikeable poster.

Left alone in a locked room you would have an argument with yourself!

One of the things that was consoling me about relegation was the idea pompey might get promoted so we could have two proper derbies again next season...

    Very good day for us.

Shame Pompey lost today as other results went against them which would have been even funnier.

Yep. We can do this now. Swansea sinking, and hopefully we've finally got some momentum. Huddersfield deep in it too now.
