Where do you reckon they will finish?

Below us hopefully. They were woeful last season and arguably have a better squad than us. Although I think we will have a better window than them and get back to where we belong. Everton I reckon will finish 10th this season (based on absolutely nothing and just a guess) saints will finish 7th. Coyr.

West Ham again (again).

BALBUENA HEADS FOR WEST HAM

Corinthians have confirmed the sale of Fabian Balbuena to West Ham following a statement released by the club on Saturday.

The Brazilian outfit have revealed that the Hammers have met their valuation of the Paraguay international, and the centre-back now heads for London to carry out his medical.

Balbuena played 136 games for Corinthians, scoring 11 goals in his three years at the Sao Paulo club and winning the Brazilian championship in 2017.

The statement concludes: “The board thanks the services provided and wishes him luck for the new journey."

Roberts to Leicester.

Manchester City starlet Roberts set for £10m Leicester move

The former England Under-20 international will be joining the Foxes in a £10m deal.

Roberts, 21, will be released by Manchester City to smooth the protracted £60m transfer of Riyad Mahrez in the next fortnight.

The former Fulham youngster has been out on loan at Celtic for the past 18 months and the east Midlands club is in the market to add to its firepower.

The playmaker was used by Brendan Rodgers but mainly off the bench as Celtic carried off their seventh successive Scottish Premier League title.

And Roberts, who was a trainee at Craven Cottage before making the move north, will join £25m summer signing James Maddison at the King Power Stadium.

That will go some way towards making up for the loss of former player-of-the-year Mahrez whose exit will leave a huge hole for boss Claude Puel to fill.

But the Frenchman and the club’s Thai owners have backed the manager to plug that gap by splashing the cash on first Maddison and now Roberts.

Utd to bid for Lozano?

Hirving Lozano transfer to Manchester United gathers pace with £35.4m bid imminent

Man United are preparing a £35.4m (€40m) offer for Mexico’s World Cup star Hirving Lozano.

The PSV winger dazzled in Russia as one of the breakout stars, inspiring El Tri to a shock victory over Germany and the last 16 stage, where they eventually fell to Brazil.

United are interested in the former Pachuca sensation and TMW believe a massive offer is in the works, with Barcelona also linked, meaning a bidding war could commence imminently.

The 22-year-old bagged 19 goals last term and assisted 11 more to prove his exceptional potential.

And now Jose Mourinho could have the exciting winger at his disposal if they can convince the Dutch side to cash in on their prized asset.

Everton to bid for Forsberg?

Everton eye £30m Sweden star

Everton are on the trail of RB Leipzig’s £30million-rated winger Emil Forsberg.

New Goodison boss Marco Silva is in the market for a winger and Swedish star Forsberg – who played in yesterday’s World Cup quarter final against England in Samara – is high on the list.

The 26-year-old winger cored the winning goal against Switzerland to put Sweden into the last eight – and he’s attracting interest across Europe.

That’s why the Bundesliga side recently upgraded Forsberg’s deal giving a new 5-year contract on a reported £3.25m a year.

Since joining Leipzig from Malmo in 2015 Forsberg has become one of German football’s most consistent stars.

The winger is known for his assists at Leipzig and it’s believed he was on Everton’s radar before Silva was appointed boss.

Everton reject 2nd bid for Lookman.

Everton rejected second Leipzig Lookman bid

Everton have rejected a second bid from RB Leipzig for Ademola Lookman.

Leipzig made an improved offer of £14m plus add ons.

But the Bundesliga side have seen their latest attempt to test the Toffees resolve to hang on to Lookman dismissed again.

The new bid for forward Lookman, 20, was an increase on Leipzig’s opening bid of around £12m which was submitted last week.

But Mirror Sport understands it will take an offer of at least £20m for Everton to consider letting Lookman leave.

He joined from Charlton for £10m in January 2017 and Leipzig want to land him permanently after a successful loan spell at the German club during the second half of last season.

Who aren't West Ham signing.

Be interesting to see how Yarmalenko does, highly rated before his move the Dortmund but maybe he made the move out of Ukraine too late, could be another Payet sort of signing to inspire their season but could be signing a player in decline.

Anderson - Wilshere - Yarmolenko is nice change up of their attack. I guess they needed too as well, because:

1) Lanzini is out for a huge chunk of next season.

2) West Ham tradition of selling all of last seasons signings.

Doesn't look like they are stopping there either. Bids in for centre-backs & centre-midfielders too.

A few more bits from this morning.

Arsenal face battle with Everton and West Ham over French midfielder Steven N'zonzi

Arsenal are facing a battle with Everton and West Ham to snap up French midfielder Steven N’zonzi.

Reports this week claimed the Gunners have opened talks with Sevilla over a deal for the powerful international - currently in Russia with Didier Deschamp’s side.

However, according to French outlet Le10 Sport, West Ham and Everton are also desperate to sign the former Stoke ace.

Now Premier League sides are yet to table a formal bid for N’Zonzi due to his involvement in Russia.

N’Zonzi played under new Arsenal boss Unai Emery during his time at Sevilla - and that could swing him to the Emirates.

-------------------------------------

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp 'keen on Croatian defender Domagoj Vida'

pool boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to create an all Croatian central defence by pairing Dejan Lovren with international team-mate Domagoj Vida.

The 29-year-old was in the news after a controversial celebration as Croatia beat Russia.

The Besiktas defender featured in a video posted to YouTube shortly after World Cup quarter-final penalty shoot-out win over the tournament hosts.

In the clip Vida, who is joined by Croatian scout Ognjen Vukojevic, can be heard shouting: “Glory to Ukraine” - the chant of the country’s army opposed to Russian territorial claims on the nation - and: “This victory is for Dynamo [Kiev] and for Ukraine.”

The defender spent five years at Dynamo Kiev before moving to Istanbul.

And Turkish outlet Aksam claim Klopp is planning a £12million move for the rugged defender - who would be back up to Lovren and Virgil van Dijk.

Vida has four years left on his current deal. And the news outlet say that, along with his performances in Russia, could allow Besiktas to raise the defender’s price tag.

Toffees shelve Tierney interest

Everton have ended their interest in Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.

The Blues had identified the Scot as a long-term replacement for Leighton Baines.

But they are not ready to match Celtic’s valuation, of close to £25m, and will now explore other alternatives.

TBF, Pellegrini wasn't going to come in and not want to improve the largely crap squad...

Their recruitment is a bit scattergun, worse strategy than ours, but they do throw money about. They could and should be the one that should be building to break into the top 6 with their stadium etc but no danger of that happening yet.

Yeah, exactly. They said at the time, in true West Ham fashion, that he would spend more than any other manager in their history.

They'll get it right eventually. Pellegrini, on paper, is probably the best manager they've ever had in terms of honours.

Wouldn't suprise me if they come close to signing a new XI.

Wilshere isn't really an attacking mid but yeh.

Huge chunk of transfer fees and wages in there though, £60 million out lay with around £250k a week in wages I'd reckon for those three, if not more.

I still prefer our more calculated approach.

Liverpool not interested in Grealish. A slightly arrogant piece by the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool have no interest in Jack Grealish - despite bizarre links claiming Reds had held talks with Aston Villa

Liverpool have absolutely no interest in Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.

The ECHO understands that Liverpool find reports linking the Reds with a move for the 21-year-old midfielder baffling, with claims that the club have held talks with Villa over a transfer wide of the mark.

Liverpool are targeting a higher calibre of player than Grealish, who scored just three goals in the Championship last season.

Tottenham are instead expected to sign the midfielder for a fee of around £15m, with Villa keen to sell after running into financial difficulties since losing to Fulham in the playoff final in May.

It had been reported that Liverpool had held talks with Villa's sacked technical director Steve Round about the possibility of a deal, but that is not the case.

Liverpool had been close to securing a deal for Nabil Fekir in early June, but walked away from the deal at the 11th hour.

Jurgen Klopp is keen on finding a replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who left Anfield in January in a £145m deal with Barcelona.

Talk about arrogance, and rewriting history:

Liverpool had been close to securing a deal for Nabil Fekir in early June, but walked away from the deal at the 11th hour.

I thought Lyon (or whoever) told them to p!ss off for trying to renegotiate the deal at the 11th hour.

West Ham in for Wilshere and Yarmolenko - have to say looks like a nice bit of business. Yarmolenko is a real wildcard, if he does manage to settle then could be a terrific signing for the Hammers. Wouldn't have minded us being in for him to be honest, but at least we have made some moves already in the transfer window.

Lookman latest.

LEIPZIG STILL IN TALKS OVER LOOKMAN

New RB Leipzig head coach Ralf Rangnick has confirmed the club remain in talks with Everton over a deal for Ademola Lookman.

We understand Everton rejected a £12m offer for the forward from Leipzig earlier this week.

"I think three more signings is realistic," Rangnick said. "We're still in talks over Ademola Lookman - we want him back and he wants to come.

"We're also looking at something in central midfield, whether that's a No 6, 8 or 10."

Everton want Zaha?

Everton keen on Zaha

Everton boss Marco Silva is desperate to land Wilfried Zaha but is struggling to convince him to return up north.

Crystal Palace’s Ivory Coast international Zaha bagged nine goals and three assists last term despite missing five weeks injured.

He is in demand this summer and Silva wants to bring Zaha,25, to Goodison Park to spearhead a new-look attacking line next season.

But Palace are battling hard to keep their prized asset on a new £125,000-a-week deal and are reluctant to sell him.

Everton are showing firm interest but Londoner Zaha did not enjoy his previous transfer up north when he moved from Palace to Manchester United in 2013-2015.

The £15million flop was subsequently loaned back to Palace and out to Cardiff after failing to settle in Manchester on and off the pitch.

But he is the star man back at Selhurst Park who already want to tie him down on a new deal just 15 months after Zaha signed a five-year deal worth around £100,000-a-week.

Meanwhile, Silva has taken Everton’s squad to Austria for a pre-season camp after they flew out on Sunday.

MirrorSport understands Silva has taken the full compliment of stars and not exiled anyone.

Hasn't taken them long to get going again -- Newcastle reject Lascelles bid from West Ham.

Newcastle United have rejected a bid of £20m, rising to £25m, from West Ham for their captain and centre back Jamaal Lascelles.

The 24-year old reported back for pre-season training at Newcastle on Friday, with Everton also understood to be interested.

So West Ham have signed Diop for £22.5m and Fabianski for £7.5m. Signed Wishere on a free, so likely wages far in excess of £100k a week, and also Ryan Fredericks on a free. They're wanting to sign Anderson for £40m and lots of others at £25m. Added to this they want excessive amounts for the players they are trying to sell. Who is costing these transfers, is it David Dildo's son - the tweeting tw.at Jack?
