Saints in China

I never said it was or I would. I wish I could steal a living like them both.

All I said is that they’re both not good enough for the PL or the money they earn. That’s the club (les reeds) fault.

I’ve watched 25 mins of this game and see no reason to change that opinion either. Both need to be sold

Understand you're basing a decision on last season, but if you're going to give them a chance then give them a bit more than 25 minutes of the first pre-season friendly where they've been back at training for less than a week & in that time we've flown half way round the world.

I know it's only 45 minutes but Redders looks much better playing centrally. He used to do my head in last season on the wing, failing to take his man on, and on the rare occasion that he did get behind him, his crossing or final ball was shyte. I know he likes to cut in, but even then he rarely gets to a position between the posts before trying to shoot.

So we're just not bothered with defenders second half?

- - - - - - - - Forster

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ?????

Valery - - - Reed - - Clasie - - Romeu - - - McQueen

- - - - - - JWP - - Sims - - Hesketh

- - - - - - - - Gabbi - - - Gallagher

3 VERY deep defensive midfielders.

SKD's right, the current centre back pairing isn't strong enough. I'd persist with Hoedt plus a new signing, Yoshida/Bednarek as backups, sell Stephens.

Hoedt was arguably our worst Centre back last season !?

It's very early but I am liking the higher tempo and intent of our build up play. Plenty of passing and moving, rather than last years slow pass and barely move tactics.

Attackers seem a bit isolated from the midfield.
