He is quick & sound on the ball, crossing ranges from delightful-dreadful but has there ever been a worse headerer of the ball at saints?

How many goals have we conceded since he signed from his appalling efforts? Didn't even jump at Everton, today schoolboy. Last season numerous times.

How the **** top clubs have been looking at him I have no idea. Bang average and abysmal in the air.

when you see gaps like that, makes it weird that we didnt strengthen...and if Ings signing meant we were short of upfront cash (how, i dont know) then why did we buy Gunn?

Valery's looked pretty decent whenever I've watched the U23s. That said, different level of football, obviously

As Reed is heavily linked to Blackburn, I'm going to assume Targett is our 2nd choice right-back.

I'd have ditched Cedric in the summer, but I doubt there'd have been any takers. He was helped out when Virgil and Fonte were in the side, but he's now shown up massivley. Very, very average.

Can never fathom why he continuously seems to cut in, and cross with his weaker foot....?

Signing dross like Pied is the reason we're in this mess. We should be signing someone genuinely decent to compete with Cedric, instead of Koeman and Puel's old mates. Martina should only ever have been emergency cover, the fact that he was actually chosen to start when Cedric was fit says something IMO.

Surely with the tens of millions we're chucking at players, we could find someone with a decent physique to play at RB. There must be somebody with a bit of pace and height who CDAJFU.

We have a history of great left backs and rather average right backs at saints. Clyne was our only great right back in a list that stretches back.

Cedric is a good RB but he has games when he is dire like today and even last week I thought in patches looked ****.

GO 352 and play JWP at RWB is most likely only option.

They look at him alright. As a way to exploit us. He’s woeful and getting worse.

Cedric really isn't that good at all. We can and we should be doing so much better.

He’s pathetic, people are so blind if they think we can’t do better than him. That ‘defending’ today was Sunday league stuff, absolutely baffling.

Valid point, but Fabrice Fernandes was probably the worst headerer of a football I’ve ever seen. At least he wasn’t a defender though.
