Default The ‘worst’ Premier League XI of the season so far

Two saints ( and one saints old boy) players in it maybe not ones you'd first think of either

Well, I guess it goes on the players who have played most games, but extremely harsh of them to put Ings in whilst the likes of Jordan Ayew have escaped!

Technically there are two Saints old boys, if you include loanees.

It's a stupid list. Long is infinitely worse than ings.

I'm surprised there are only 2 on there!

    It does state.

And we’re talking regulars here, so all these players have played in at least three-quarters of their club’s Premier League games. We have used WhoScored’s ratings as a guide…

Long doesn't fit the criteria on that basis.

    Pathetic "Article"

How Hoedt doesn't feature is beyond me.

Very unfair on Ings. He has been one of our better players, although our training and coaching are beginning to take their toll of a player who looked really sharp when he arrived from Liverpool.

Clearly not good enough to get into the side. Think it's harsh on Cedric and Ings, who certainly haven't been our worst players this season. Hoedt, Vestegaard, Bertrand, Romeu, Long, Austin, Redmond, Moi and JWP all much more deserving of a place.

Cedric has absolutely been one of our worst players this season.

Cedric is trash, so no surprise to see him in there. Should have gone back to Portugal in the summer.

    An excellent replacement is available:

Opta have our expected goals as double what we've scored so no surprise we have a striker on the list. Surprising it's Ings, but I guess you could put any of them on there. https://www.theguardian.com/football...mes-statistics

Bit harsh on Jack Cork. They're comparing his stats to last year where he was very good and actually covered more ground than any other player in the premier league.

Totally unfair on ingsy. Surprised about a few on there to be honest. Cedric is deserving though.

I'd love to get Clyne back.

Sadly, it seems that Bournemouth noticed before we did.

Tricky to judge. The worst ones probably haven't played. And it's harsh to criticise newly promoted players proving themselves. Etheridge has done pretty well.

Do we include good players who massively underperform?

I mean that's Cedric, but it's been half our squad for 2 years.

Our worst player was Hoedt. The rest have been erratic. I mean Bertrand, Yoshi, Vesterguard, Romeu and others have all had awful moments and good games. Redmond from the outside has been poor, given he couldn't score or assist. But from the inside he's been the main threat and a positive player in a dire attacking side.

Jota in there is harsh. He hasn't adapted quickly but he's been in and out. If Wolves buy new players and are prepared to let him go we should be all over it. Would suit this system and he will end up getting goals.

And including Ings is ridiculous. He's just the type of striker who takes a lot of shots. So does Kane. He's come back from terrible injuries and offered a decent goal threat. If he's fit he'll get 10-15 goals this season.

I`m sure Ralph and the club noticed but decided they don't want him
