People blaming El - when really Targett was far too passive. He closes the ball down far too late and is too negative on the ball most of the time. He will be shown up (as he is always against pacy tricky players) today. However, performance isn't too bad, Austin looks rusty, Hol looking good, Stephens is shaky.

You have to wonder what the manager is thinking putting this team out. Three games with no rotation at all then bung out the reserves against City.

 

He's thinking he made a mistake by not rotating for the WHU match, the time was spent. With two more matches coming up this week, he decided that this was the game to rest the knackered players (Ings, Redmond, Armstrong, etc.). Its probably the right call.

We must be watching a different game. Mo was nowhere near the ball and Lemina was not picking up either. Regardless, it was also ****e defending in the box too.

 

its weird how wrong you are as Targett was not 2-on-1,

why would you say something that clearly is not true
