Sooo. What I’ve been told.
We want Augustin but don’t have the funds for him this window. We were reliant on sales, which never happened. We enquired about a loan but Lepzeig want to keep him until the summer at least. We then went in for Che Adams. We asked for a loan until the summer but Birmingham basically laughed us off.
So we are done. I expect Augustin to be our number 1 target in the summer if we stay up.
Pro tip: did this a couple of days back. Makes the forum so much more enjoyable.

How? How have I whinged more than anyone else disappointed?
I have not slated the owner, chairman, manager. Just find it odd that we have failed to secure a right back.
I have not mentioned anyone else really bar the Cedric transfer. Which I maintain is very odd. IMO, Valery is by some distance, the weak link. You watch him get owned at the weekend
Can't wait to see JKA and Promes terrorizing defences....next season
That maybe so but he absolutely has a point about this window. At least next January we can be absolutely sure that we won't be bringing more than one signing in and possibly none regardless of our situation. It's still disappointing though to see the limits of our ambition even if it was expected.
I think we've got enough to stay up, but I don't understand why we've used this transfer window to negatively impact your chances when the financial penalty for failing is so significant.
I get that Hasenhuttl wants to keep all members of the squad motivated, and that is hard to achieve with a big squad. That said, only the following moves make sense without a replacement:
Davis
Gabbiadini (given the emergence of Redmond as a striker)
Letting Hoedt and Cedric go was a mistake without replacing them because:
a) If Valery gets injured then who exactly plays wing-back? Stephens? A midfielder? Bad move. Then of course if you take Stephens out of the back line that assumes we must have Vestergaard, Yoshida and Bedernak available cause if one of them is injured then who plays at the back considering we play three at the back more often than not now?
b) We only have four senior centre backs for three positions, and as mentioned one of them appears to be the backup right back. That is very thin.
People can try and defend the moves all they want but we have easily come out of this window with a weaker squad and that means our chances of staying up have been negatively impacted. To what degree we'll find out in May, but it just feels a little silly to me.
This is quite plainly ********. I don't think anyone thinks Cedric has improved breathtakingly since he left. I do think some - including myself - think his leaving and now almost certain non-replacement leaves us a bit weak at right back and would prefer that he hadn't left or had been replaced now that he has.
Those banking on survival as Ralph has had a decent start....
Look at Swansea last season.
Come August we'll be told to wait until January.
A useless football club at times.
The problem in the summer will be all our loan outs will be back so no doubt we will have to move them on again, probably as a loan as no one will buy them before we can bring players in.
I am sure Ralph wanted players this window but the club were unable or unwilling depending on your stance to come up with the goods.
In 4 or 5 weeks time we will find out if the gamble has paid off or not but even moving up the table by a few places secures far more than a few weeks saved wages so to me it’s a hell of a risk
Stop ****ing moaning about Cedric and or other right backs. If Ralph wanted him to stay or was desperate to get another one in, I’ve no doubt we would have sorted for him. We don’t know much about our owner, but I’m pretty sure he’s not idiotic enough to pi ss off Ralph after a dozen or so games.
FFS we’ve got supporters that have Harryitis, twitching at home whilst watching Deadline day on Sky sports news. ****ing relax and calm down

Not blame, common sense. Guy who is no longer first gets a chance to go to inter and be first choice. Of course he wouldn’t be full of joys of spring if told to hang about reserves.
Apparently Liverpool are crazy loaning out their only fit specialist right back while relying on an injured 20 year old and midfielders like Henderson playing out of position
Nothing happening - move was dependent on Austin moving om apparently, the assumption was he would.
Do you think this will help keep Ralph? I don't

Hmmmmmmm I got a feeling we are gonna do something

Why do you ****s hate Saints so much?
Not too bothered as long as the manager is happy with the squad. Still think we have enough to stay up and easier to have a complete overhaul in the summer; would've liked another forward added, admittedly.
Downgrading results prediction now, starting with Burnley

Maybe half a million quid loan fee for Cedric is going to keep the wolf from Gao's door for another month or two.
I actually still think we are going to sign someone.
I don’t think he is, I think he understands that Ralph doesn’t want to sign any old crap this window, he believes he can keep us up with this squad and the most logical time to sign a player is in the summer. But this seems to be rocket science to our average fan. They just wanna keep signing players, just for the sake of it. Personally I’d rather trust our manager, who clearly has something about him.

Leicester have signed someone
Tiemelians or how ever you spell it
I suppose that as far as RH is concerned Bertie returning to the team would be the same as getting a new player in. Whilst there are obvious concerns over the experience of the available wing backs, RH seems happy, so we have to respect that. I do have a worry about how reliant we are likely to be on Ings and Redmond staying fit.
Guan and K Billy's noticeable absence on here today is quite telling, obviously nothing on the cards. Complete trust in Ralph to see this through, I just hope injuries don't come back to bite us.
If the unthinkable happens and we do go down (not that I think we will)
I guess it will all be Ralph’s fault then?
Italian player would be nice

Need Alps to come in and have a meltdown and then we'll definitely get someone in.
We're signing someone. The Twitter account person still at work tweeting pointless training ground pics.
