Man Utd v Saints Match Thread

Utterly ridiculous how biased this ref has been so far.

The slightest opportunity to give Man Utd anything and he does it - advantage, free kick, throw, corner.

He only gives us anything if it's 100% blatant, clear as day. Jeez!

And there's another pull on our player in the area - nothing!

Another penalty not given. Is young just allowed to grab on and pull?

Think Bertrand “goes to ground” rather than actually being pulled down. Doesn’t mean it’s not a foul of course, but would rather Bertrand had kept running as we’re not getting anything that soft at OT

Some refs subconsciously go into games involving a big team with a mindset that the opposition will clearly have to commit fouls to stop them. Because the big team should win, and it's the ref's job to help them by recognising that they are so good they don't commit fouls and if things aren't going the way they should, the opposition must be doing something illegal.

And of course, teams as good as MU don't foul .

Roles reversed, it would've been given to Utd.
