Thread: Ballboys

    Default Ballboys

In an era of marginal gains, they are absolutely dreadful.

How hard is it to get kids that can move, throw and have an active pulse?

You can tell the season is over. People are getting bored already.

They’re young, English and can only improve.

Yes but if they improve they will only be sold onto Liverpool. I hear that Klopp is offering to fly some of them to Blackpool.

I would prefer it if the younger ones first went out on loan to places like MK Dons and learnt their trade rather than being pushed into the SMS limelight.

There is a bigger lad who sits in front of the Kingsland - he plays the role of subversive ball boy pretty well - we get a throw he is positive with passing the ball to Saints players, but more than once he has made to throw the ball to oppo players and either let is fall short of them or thrown it in a kack handed manner making it awkward for them.
Think when we were time wasting v Bournemouth - JWP gave him a subtle thumbs up when he had faffed around retrieving the ball both sporting a rye smile.

They have been in a gradual decline since Cortese left.

Bearing in mind it takes us about four minutes to complete a throw-in, they have no need to rush.
