A Mr T outfit is obviously worn in tribute as a fancy dress, wheras KK are a political and racist group and so totally different. If Wes decides to wear a fairy outfit does that make him offensive to fairies? Personally I m not into fancy dress but some people find it hilarious. I have seen groups dressed in many outfits be it 1970's disco dancers/groups to Trump, does that offend??

I don't think it's racist - Weston is arguing that because I've dressed up as Mr T in the past I am a "thick racist", yet won't report people selling these "racist" costumes, or other people that have dressed up as Mr T, to the police.

No-one else does either, but Weston hot very angry and emotional about it, and thinks it's incredibly racist. However, he will happily sit aside as people indulge in racist acts, instead of being a responsible citizen and reporting people who he thinks are breaking the law, to the police.

So Boris and Jennifer tell us that nothing happened romantically between them. Boris is a notorious womaniser and liar. Jennifer tells us that men go crazy around her and “trip over their dicks.” Boris used to visit her flat, apparently to discuss new technology (any relation to the old Private Eye euphemism “Ugandan relations” I wonder?). Boris tells us that there is nothing inappropriate about their relationship or business dealings. I am not sure whether anyone with half a brain cell believes him but people are still going to vote for our version of Donald Trump. What a sh*t country we have become.

and yet, Torys rise further in the polls (if you think the polls are worth anything)

the alternative (currently) is top ****ger and friend of the IRA, Corbyn.

No wonder the PM a way ahead in the polls

It's all those people who have swallowed the 31st October "do or die" line. If we are still in the EU on Nov 1st his support will plummet.

Reckon either of us could beat Corbyn. As Max Hastings says, anyone other than Corbyn would be getting a majority. Sadly for the rest of us, the Trots in Momentum are hanging onto their boy and the gammons from UKIP will do the same with Boris. Both main parties infected by respective entryist diseases.

This, I expect the Lib Dem and Brexit parties will both take a lot of votes of the two ‘main’ parties if there is a GE. I would be amazed if Labour or the Tories got anywhere near a majority.

Well now, BoJo has finally won a Commons vote ! The Environment (Legislative Functions from Directives) regulations 2019 bill passed yesterday evening, and the deputy speaker commented on this "unique event".

Yep. And it's a bill that will provide us with pretty much exactly the same environmental protections that we are bound to as a member of the EU anyway.

She certainly had a majority and that's why the GE went ahead.

LD's graphic shows exactly why the current GE is unlikely to be granted as there are way too many sh1t politicians who will lose their seats, so no way they are going to vote to be out of a job before they need to be!

A no confidence vote seems the most likely outcome...

Didn’t May have a bigger lead last time when she called the election?

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/04/26/theresa-may-popular-voters-leader-since-late-1970s/

She did, but there’s plenty of factors that I doubt will be in play this time. Disastrous manifesto, horrific strategy, leader that was woeful on campaign trial. Too long a campaign. People voting for Corbyn safe in the knowledge he couldn’t win and their vote would therefore limit May’s majority. Lib Dem’s collapse.

A short sharp campaign run on a “get Brexit done” basis. A leader with a personality, a sensible non aggression unofficial pact with our Nigel, Lib Dem’s fighting on a revoke platform in Remain areas. Labours muddled, bizarre Brexit position and contradictions. But most importantly the fact Corbyn could win a vote for Corbyn could lead to him becoming PM, all point to a totally different outcome this time. Personally, I can’t see the British people putting Corbyn in number 10. A Blairette candidate would be a totally different proposition.

Corbyn is going to make bribes to people to get them to vote. It will be offering more in benefits, higher minimum wage, promising 10% free shares in the biggest companies of over 250 employees, (up to £500 each but the rest going to the treasury, state grab in other words) plus students who are supposed to be our brightest being offered incentives to vote. They will also go big on the carbon emissions promising all types of things but will of course in turn be just ways of drawing income in. Trashing the better off and 'redistributing' so that the envious can feel justified. I suggest that is how he is going to get the masses to rise up, not because they really feel they want to but 'if you're getting paid'

So Boris' planned spending frenzy is OK but Corbyn's would be bribes?

Corbyn is an old school socialist, yet Johnson's spending plans are bigger than his and would be funded by driving up borrowing even more. At least Corbyn's nationalisation would be largely self funding. Think about that for a second

In 2005, Boris Johnson wrote a book of fiction called '72 Virgins' about Islamic terrorists who attack Westminster, whose plot is foiled by a bicycling Tory MP known for tousled hair, classical allusions and flapping shirt-tails. As the story develops, the protagonist sees the chance to make himself such a global hero that the media will judge it futile to publish the latest thing he doesn’t want to tell his wife. That subplot increased in intrigue when, within two months of hardback publication, Johnson was sacked from the shadow cabinet after the Tory leader, Michael Howard, judged him to have lied to the party and public about an extramarital affair (lying - something that no longer seems to be a sackable offence for conservative politicians)

It's filled with terms like "alpha male," "Islamic nutcases" and "a mega-titted six-footer". Arabs are casually noted to have “hook noses” and "slanty eyes"; a mixed-race Briton is called "coffee-coloured"; and there are mentions of "pikeys" and people who are "half-caste".

-Can you imagine if Jeremy Corbyn wrote this book? Laura Kuenssberg would never stop asking him about it! But Johnson wrote it, so of course, we never hear about it.

He describes French people as 'turds' and makes random irrelevant attacks on Sierra Leone.

In the last third of the book, the plotting becomes rushed and there are several printing and grammatical errors, and sentences that literally do not make sense.

The novel’s attitude to women is so sexist, it is just depressing. There are 20 occasions on which women enter the narrative. Each time, the narrator or a character looks them up and down, phwoaring over, to take a representative selection, “tits out”, “lustrous eyes”, “long legs”, “a mega-titted six-footer”, “loads of pretty white teeth”, “good teeth and blonde hair”, and an “unambiguously exuberant bosom”. One woman’s comment is attributed to “premenstrual irrationality”. There are also appearances from a “girly swot” and a woman who looks “like a lingerie model, only cleverer and, if anything, with bigger breasts” - it reads like it was written by a horny 12 year old rather than an expensively-educated prime minister.

That is what has been most sickening about the campaign for me so far. Johnson seems to get away with things time and again that you just know if Corbyn did or said them, he would be pulled to pieces. Whatever you think of Corbyn’s beliefs, he clearly cares. The only thing that Johnson cares about is himself. If you cast a vote for Johnson it is no different to voting for Trump. What do you want? A fairer society or 5 years of a childish narcissist feeding his ego whilst the country goes further down the toilet?

And despite having plenty of notice, he chickened out of tonight's leaders' debate on climate change, sending his dad and Michael Gove in his place, who then had the nerve to cry foul when C4 wouldn't let him take part because it was a LEADERS' debate.

Deary me. Imagine being such a pathetic sack of sh*t that you duck out of joining a debate with the other party leaders on the most important issue facing the planet today, and sending your dad instead.

And now it looks like he won't be doing the Andrew Neil interview either. Is he going to send his dad to do that as well?

I think his Dad would make a better PM, so maybe he should.

Really not a surprise this. He has form in passing on debates, but to be honest I can’t see why he would do an interview with Neil, it would obviously do more harm than good.

No problem at all with him not doing tonight's debate. Channel 4 news are a joke so I'm not surprised he didn't want to do it.

He definitely should do the Neil one though, I think that's poor form for definite.

Boris is a colossal penis, totally unfit to be be prime minster, a serial lie teller, with the mentality of a teenage boy, a questionable attitude to anyone who isn't a white male with a private school education and as far as I can tell not really liked by anyone (even the people who are going to vote for him)

So Labour have done an immense job of managing to pick a leader that many voters feel is an even worse choice than Boris...it's beggars belief that they've stuck with Corbyn despite how obviously unpopular he is with the electorate. Labour should be cleaning up at this election and would be if they had appointed a leader with an ounce of charisma, backbone and some policies that don't look like they belong in the 1970s.

You never used to be so partisan. What's happened?

Partisan is swallowing the bs that Johnson is busy and isn’t a coward.

His dad is on tv claiming it is such an important issue and cannot see the irony of that line adding to why wasn’t he there?

Oh and Tory defenders being interviewed just churning out Cummings line of being PM is incredibly busy. They think we are idiots.

It was actually the other leaders who refused to accept Gove as a replacement.

The whole thing was just a publicity stunt by Gove. Boris knew there was no way he would come out of that debate looking anything other than the cretin that he is. So instead he sent his lackey with a camera crew and hidden microphone, in the full knowledge that he would not be able to take part as he wasn't invited, so that he can then play the victim and twist the narrative that C4 are being biased.

The headline this morning should be that there was a historic debate between the leaders of the main parties on the most pressing issue facing the planet today, but that the sitting PM declined to take part.

The actual headlines - everywhere - are that the Tories have lodged a complaint to Ofcom that C4 are in breach of impartiality rules.

Gove was just playing the part of Johnson's dead cat - nothing but a distraction from the fact that the Prime Minister cannot be trusted by his handlers to engage in any kind of debate where he doesn't have the option of just repeating his "get Brexit done" soundbite ad nauseam.

And it worked.

Jeez man up. You’re a right wing slightly bigoted Tory who consistently slams everything coming from non tories. Everybody who reads your posts knows that. I don’t know get why you persist in trying to cultivate some kind of tolerant open to persuasion persona.

Pussying out of the Andrew Neil interview as well by the look of things:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50592259

Just look at his body language in this clip...

https://twitter.com/BestForBritain/status/1200127085534236675

Deflect, evade, change the subject.

Regardless of the suitability of any other party leaders, this guy is simply unfit for any kind of public office, let alone the position of PM.

The fact that our country has allowed a situation to arise where he can maneuvre himself into Number 10 should shame us all.

That's not really answering the question though. Do you think he is fit to be PM or not?
I think all the candidates are poor, I'd already said I was depressed at the lack of quality. Unfortunately we don't have proportional representation so we have to vote for the least worst option which is Boris.
