And yet we have watched Johnson make a fool of himself on telly for months and still people are prepared to vote for him, so there is hope for Corbyn yet!
Did you watch the same interview? We will see about Johnson when it's his turn but I haven't seen an interview like that in years. All Boris has to do is not be as bad as Corbyn was tonight and its a win for him. Edited by hypochondriac

I think Boris will be bad but it will largely be attacks on his character. There's not quite as much to attack from his manifesto that's the equivalent of 50 billion uncosted. Will be interesting to see if he can manufacture quite the same sort of gotcha moment as the anti semite still in the party being investigated after a year. We shall see...

Eh? Get Brexit done is among the most disingenuous and dishonest claims made by any party -and its front and centre of the conservatives campaign. But I guess if the sheep buy it, then it’s job done.

I think Neil will do what he does best and it will be uncomfortable for Johnson but I reckon he won't act in such a disgruntled fashion as Corbyn did. It looked like he hadn't bothered to prepare quite frankly when he must have known a lot of what was going to come at him. Will be a must watch when he does Johnson anyway. If he eviscerated Johnson too then it really just underlines how cr*p the two main parties are anyway (though Corbyn much worse obviously). Edited by hypochondriac

How is it disingenuous and dishonest? With the last Parliament packed with remoaners intent on thwarting Brexit and three and a half years having passed as a result, it is a slogan that resonates with over half of the electorate at least; those that you arrogantly label as sheep. That it annoys the hell out of you is a bonus, Gavin.

You know that Boris Johnson has also blocked Brexit, right?

Probably because they are trying to con the Great British public into believing that it will all be done and dusted the minute we leave. The reality is that it will not be “done and dusted” for many years.

A slogan doesn’t make it a statement of fact Les. The idea that Brexit will be done once Johnson’s oven-ready deal goes through Parliament is a fantasy. The hardest, most energy-sapping part of the negotiations is still to come, not least as Johnson kicked many issues into the long grass of the political declaration. On the bright side it does mean I can continue to school you on the subject for which you should be extremely grateful pal.

A Theresa May slogan which turned out to not be the case.

Which is entirely the point Wes was making.

By your dim logic, Brexit is whatever can command a parliamentary majority. So if all the remainers in the Labour Party or Lib Dems had voted for May’s WA, then it would have suddenly qualified as Brexit? Hardly a principled, a priori definition, is it? And certainly not one our Les would sign up to. Perhaps you want to have another go pal.

You are only schooling me in your narcissistic, tiny little fantasy world, Gavin. But whatever makes you happy, even if it isn't real, eh? :p

Where did Trader suggest that Brexit is whatever can command a Parliamentary majority? He didn't. Typical of your MO to attempt to argue against something that somebody didn't even say.

He pulled his own deal from parliament because he didn't like the debate timetable.

He lost control of the timetable which therefore enabled Remoaners to delay, obstruct and add amendments to the bill. He therefore went back to the people and asked for a mandate. Let’s see I he gets one.

Cue one of the sheep I was talking about.

No pal they thought a wholly arbitrary timetable of three three days was too short to scrutinise one of the most important bills in peacetime history.

So instead of giving the people a straight choice of his deal or remain, he has given us a choice of his deal or remain with a socialist government.

Great example of democracy.

He has given the people the greatest choice.

Leave, remain, another referendum

And everything in between

Keep telling yourself that pal and simultaneously explain why many people won’t vote for him because of his economic policies, his record on antisemitism, his foreign policy position, his general leadership -you know everything that has been fought over in the election campaign and has nowt to do with Brexit. Never mind the vagaries of FPTP.

We all know that our FPTP system means that is nonsense. Anyway that would only make sense if it was a single issue election but there are many different issues just as or more important thatn Brexit.

Labour voter fraud already being exposed in Plymouth. Imagine the shock!

How much do you get paid to fluff Guido pal? Does he pay you in alcohol and psychedelics?

The allegations have not been proven yet but assuming they are, perhaps, worth explaining how they relate to the need for voter ID.

Voter fraud or admin error?

From what I can tell a number of people where on the Plymouth electoral register who shouldn't have been or didn't register. Bit of a **** up but it has been picked up before polling day and rectified. So I'm not not sure why you are getting all moist in the crotch..

Remember when it comes to Jamie, he doesn’t read or follow the news - he only trawls social media echo-chambers. He’s probably referring to this:

Didn't the Plymouth Council do this previously and blame it on an administration error then too? How many times do they have to break the law before somebody is held to account for it? Surely the incompetent person/s should be sacked, or at the very least transferred to some other department where they have no scope for interference in the election process.

What exactly is it you think that Guido article proves?

“You should not touch or handle anyone else’s ballot paper.”

“It is absolutely clear that anyone acting on behalf of a party or campaign should not solicit the collection of any ballot paper.”

“If you are asked to take the completed ballot paper, you should ensure that the voter has sealed it first and then post it or take it to a polling station or office of the Returning Officer immediately, without interfering in any way with the package.”

“If you are with a voter when they complete their ballot paper, remember they should complete it in secret. Equally, you should ensure that the voter seals the envelopes personally and immediately.”

Of course, just a misunderstanding.

Anyway, moving on....
