At least this hopefully gives Boris the ability to ignore the ERG and have a softer Brexit that he undoubtedly wants #silverlining

Tend to agree with what Andrew Marr just said there. If Johnson does get a landslide then it could lead to a more softer kind of Brexit (trade agreement) than if it was a narrow victory. In other words, he won't be at the mercy of the ERG

Corbyn gets a worse result than Michael Foot. That is how far the PLP has sunk.

This is the only sma consolation for me. But then, BoJo doesn't really know what he wants regarding Europe does he, given that he was supporting remaining in the EU right up until the point when he realised backing leave was most likely to get him into Number 10.

Just messaged my Jewish friends. They are incredibly relieved and so are all their friends. Proud of the British public tonight, I knew they wouldn't let the Jewish people down.

As I said before, hopefully a healthy majority means Johnson can f**k over the ERG and the type of chumps who have avatars of Johnson on a zipwire. He has form (ask the DUP for starters) and its common knowledge that Cummings and co hold them in contempt.

Anyway if the exit polls are on the money, there’s no more excuses or hiding places for the Brexiters now. It’s well and truly their mess. Get Brexit done is going to sound like a sick joke.

My Jewish mates all voted tactically because they wanted a hung parliament . We all must have different Jewish mates.

Exit poll has Raab at 80% to win.

Is this election a massive own goal by the SNP - calling for and supporting an early GE, which was always going to be overwhelmingly dominated by Brexit, and handing Boris a large majority, on the back of which calls for IndyRef2 will be completely ignored.

Make them up, much as everybody else seems to have done.

Although it's quite funny that certain people (IDS especially) might lose their seats, unfortunately they will get dished out peerages, directorships or are already minted so they don't really care.

They're only 1 in 200 or so of the UK population so don't be too worried. I don't have any Muslim friends if that's any consolation.

Feel sorry for you all. I bet it must be terrible to live in a country where a centre right party have been in charge for years and not to be in the EU. Oh, wait...
