Sam Gallagher

I never believed Sam would make the step up from U23s to PL. Sure he was a decent guy and did his best at Saints but always thought we did well to sell him (can’t remember the fee now?) but see he’s on the bench for a very average Blackburn side tonight. Not sure if he’s been injured but haven’t noticed he’s scored any goals lately.

On a different note see Dean Windass’ son Josh is playing for Wigan and actually looks quite good!

Gallagher has been in and out of the Blackburn side and has managed three goals and one assist. Blackburn drew 0-0 with bottom of the table Wigan last night, and their top scorer, Bradley Dack, was stretchered off, so Gallagher may get more game time in the coming weeks.

Dack's done his ACL. Big loss for them, he's a real talent and there were some bigger clubs rumoured to be in for him in Jan. He's a bit of a maverick.

Mowbray is keen on rotating his forwards he has also been playing Sam out wide quite a bit so he's not getting too many goal chances but he is doing reasonably well and I expect he will start on Boxing Day. There's a good team spirit at Blackburn and he has settled well
