TBH, I think people see him "having an attitude" because he's black - same with Redmond...that's the elephant in the room here....

What a cock you are! This has been discussed about a number of players of all colours. For the record, my missus is mixed race. I'm not the one who's brought his colour into this.

Absolutely. Some suggesting that we "haven't been convincing" the last two games. Rubbish. They obviously haven't been at the last two games. Fought back to get a draw against a useful Palace team. Easily matched Burnley, who are on a good run, and only lost to a last minute pen that shouldn't have been given because Crouch was already fouling.

And that was without Hojbjerg, Yoshida, Lemina, Bertrand, Obafemi and for most of the second game, Ings.

Get behind the team! The atmosphere at SM is still poor, especially if things aren't going to plan. Too many ready to jump straight on the critical moaning bandwagon instead of encouraging the team on.

Recognising that we've struggled to create meaningful chances against two of our main relegation rivals isn't a betrayal of the team. Nor is being able to remember that we recently got played off the park by West Ham.

This isn't complicated - you can be anxious about the probability of victory while still wholeheartedly wanting the team to win.

This isn't complicated either. We didn't make many chances against Palace as they played a packed defence. We did make chances against Burnley. To say we were played off the park by West Ham is a ridiculous exaggeration.

I was at both games. I assume you were too?

Eh, even if my sole source of information about our games was reading animal entrails, I'd still have a better understanding of how we're performing than you.

They are utter morons, sick individuals and it is in incredibly poor taste, I think we can all agree.

But I still cringe at the idea of arresting people for something like that.

You cringe at it? You don't think there should be rules about acting in a decent manner in public? Or not inciting others? What if their actions had led to violence? Is snowflakes like you that have brought this country to the position it's now in. They should lock these idiots up for a few months, they'll soon get the message

Whoa whoa whoa, hang on - you're saying these people should have been arrested for being insensitive, and I'M the one that's the snowflake?

Yes, you're a snowflake. Willing to turn a blind eye to such actions. There's no discipline anymore thanks to people like you. You'd be happy if these idiots got away with what they did because it was their freedom of speech (or mime in this case). Well no..... there's been too much turning blind eyes. Stamp it out. Your scared of upsetting their human rights, which makes you a snowflake.

You should be arrested for that post.

look at us sitting here with our 9 -5 bull****, commenting on millionaires running about in the sunshine..

This is all meaningless. Why am I here?, where I consider here a place, a destination. What is here? here is digital, it is hyperreal a simulation of a simulation without origin. Maybe I have created you all in a solipsistic sense. Maybe I am you and you are me which makes you only as real as I know myself to be. Sense certainty, it's all I have. It's all you have.

Let us not sink our selves, our identities, our fears and ambitions into these culturally constructed deities, elevated in our ever existing search for coherent ontological narratives. they are both the heroes and villains of our personal mythos. When your alarm goes off tomorrow morning, ask yourself how free you really are.

I agree, capitalism is the worst. If only there were some way for the underpaid and underappritiated workers to unite towards a common goal of a non-atomised system wherein they own and control the means of production and have autonomy over the direction of their lives, free of vapid consumption.

Indeed, if only it hadn't been trialled in situations that weren't anywhere near ready for it. Got such a bad rep now that it won't get another airing so we won't be able to test the science.

Oh well, back to talking about millionaires kicking a ball around in the winter sun while on my desk-bound lunch break slaving away for some faceless capitalists and investment funds ...

You are consistently negative and if anybody shows an ounce of positivity you denounce them as "Happy Clappers". He's young, to my mind (and many others) he's improving, and he's being given the opportunity to do so. What would you prefer, buying ready made players we can't afford, or ones that we can afford but aren't quite good enough?

Sue

You read posts like you watch a game, forgetting the detail and extracting your basic agenda only.

Very true post without hype and only actually assessing the player in all he does and that’s very little!

Nowhere near good enough for this team.

No positional sense outside of his own half. Man U will block off the service to Bertrand and Valery will be nowhere to be seen.

Not so bad at defending but the rest is plain terrible.

_I_ have an agenda? You write the agenda and then doctor the minutes.

Many, including myself have been saying he is rapidly improving. None of us are saying he is the finished article, but we haven't dismissed him like you have..

Standard procedure on here to slag off developing players and then express surprise when players don't want to stay at our club.

Some of the critism was very valid though. The other side to your argument is that a lot of fans think our kids are immune to critisism. He played well today and vs Chelsea away in particular IMO. Those are his 2 best games but some seem to pretend he’s been a world beater in every game which is very far from the truth. Let people have their opinions and let’s stop calling people morons?

Stats don’t lie, you’re right. They also don’t paint a full picture, only watching the game does that.

JWP is very much improved, he’s a work horse. I know who I’d rather defend against, and it’s not someone who’s willing to take me on and run in behind.

You do realise that having players like Redmond, creates space for people like JWP, teams will single Redmond as a key player to how we play and often stick 2 men on him.

I heard they making a special award for Redmond, its called the best space maker. its given to forward players who struggle to create chances for his teams to finish, Heard he was tipping Messi and Ronaldo to it, heard they get assists so are not allowed to be in the running for it. Best player in the world is Redmond says Arthur Antunes Coimbra ( Zico ) legend of the game, one of the best attacking players ever.

Heard Redmond up for the Ballon d'Or, was shown on sky Messi and Ronaldo arguing over who created the most space, both agreed it was Redmond, so they both decided to retire as they clearly cant compete with such amazing talent of Redmond, all the space Redmond creates makes messi's and Ronaldos goals and assists look worthless.

Be shocked if Redmond is a Saints player next year, all that space he makes, surely Real and Barca want such an amazing space creator on the team.. wow, forget them amazing passes crosses and stuff, just watch the space, you can see paint drying near it.. OMG. clearly worlds best player next to long on the list of running and dribbling and creating space for other's...……..

A lot of unnecessary transphobia in this thread. I agree that away fans shouldn't be in the home end but I don't see how you can be annoyed about transgender rights being represented.

So you're fine with terms like trannie and lady boy being used here as well as the assertion we should fight people for bringing a trans flag but not people actually standing up for transgender people.

Going to be an incredibly difficult day for everyone following on from the horrific events in Paris yesterday. Just hope the players will be able to stay focused and get the job done. People talking about potentially postponing games this weekend in tribute, which I think is a bit too far and Scudamore has already ruled that out due to scheduling issues, but I can certainly understand why some would want that. Seems like it'll just be black arm bands and a minutes silence according to a Premier League staffer on Twitter

Are you being serious?

No lives were lost and yes it’s historical but come on more tragedies have impacted people than this in the last year.
