Needle in a haystack

Hi all,

I’m looking for a but if help please, I’m after a ticket stub from the Saints v Coventry game from 12th March 1988 (hence the title).

I’ve checked eBay and had no luck so I thought I’d check to see if anyone (by some miracle) has one or can recommend any other websites to look at.

I’m not expecting any joy but thought it may be worth an ask!

Thanks for any potential help.

I think that a ticket stub from a saintsv Coventry game over 30 years ago is probably the most random item I’ve ever seen anyone search for and I confidently predict that in ten years time you will still be looking for the item I wish you well in your search and hope

You are succsssful

Anyone who has that is some sort of collecting geek who is unlikely to want to part with it.

Assume a wind up

Only a needle is a haystack if you have a huge bundle of stubs or something and know it’s in there. Not searching for something that no one has

Are you trying to build a historical alibi for a crime : "Wasn't me detective, I was watching Saints vs Coventry and I can prove it!" ;)

If I buy a programme at a Saints game, I put my ticket stub in there. Maybe seek out a programme of the game, you never know. Car boot sales may be good for this.

I collected every programme and probably most ticket stubs too.

Got them all in my Dads attic in a large suitcase.

If this is the 8-2 game then I attended it :)

Will plan to take a look when I pop down there next.

It wasn't. We lost 1 - 2. Rod Wallace, Brian Kilcline & David Smith.

And sorry - no I don't have a ticket stub either...!

Was my first game that, paid on the day on the Archers road terrace, opposite side to where the cage was. Thought all saints games would be like that, boy did i learn fast it wasn't normal!
