Pompey Takeover Saga

Recommended Posts

I see our friend Neil Allen has been called out by John Marquis on twitter as a journalist

That's more accurate, surely?

Their allocation for the Sunderland game has been cut by a third, becasue they threw a flare into the family section last time round :mcinnes:

https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/sunderland-slash-portsmouth-play-off-semi-final-allocation-following-pyrotechnic-controversy-1-8916697

So, they were all up in arms as they allocation had been cut to 2,000 but they've still got loads of tickets left. Sunderland did them a favour, the away section would have been half empty.

This Pompey film will be totally objective and not at all sick-making I'm sure

Nice to see Niel Allen heading the cast list, and using Pompey Pravda to promote it.

Surprise not to see Thierry Henry in the credits talking about his unforgettable moment being applauded by the world’s greatest supporters.

The working title "Navel Gazing" got ditched then...? ;)

Sick buckets at the ready for this linked article.... https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/the-portsmouth-film-which-its-makers-hope-can-inspire-disillusioned-fans-to-save-their-clubs-1-8921594

‘It’s a timeless story and hopefully an inspirational one, because it very much has a happy ending.

‘This is a great Portsmouth story, it’s a story about the people of Portsmouth, the city of Portsmouth. A story about the tenacity of the city, that Portsmouth islander mentality which comes through quite strongly in this film.

‘Yet while it is very much a Portsmouth film, it’s an inspirational tale'

Aren’t Sunderland’s ticket like a tenner? Loads of empty seats for such top drawer opposition

Red card for Sunderland, yellow at most, Evans was going away from goal. Pity as Sunderland were well on top.

I wondered why there was so much red and white in the Pompey end !

Seems there were swathes of empty seats ☺️!

Dodgy red card helped them big time !!

Just got back from a birthday 'do' in Portsmouth. On my table they were watching the game on a phone. They know I'm a Saints supporter but I had the decency to keep quiet. :-)

Can't see one-nil being anywhere near enough but at least Sunderland won the match which I had no expectation they would.

Well the few screwed up in their last home game so the hope goes on. A nice comfortable stroll for Charlton today will also help.

That’s the first time I’ve watched the Skates this season, Sunderland were sh!te but Pompey we’re worse. They looked marginally better first half but Sunderland were all over them before the sending off in the second. I’d forgotten how poor lower league football is.

I expect the blue few will edge it at Fratton, and I kind of wouldn’t mind them getting promoted just to see them get smashed all over the place in the Championship.

Don’t why people think they will struggle if they get promoted. They will spend shed loads of somebody else’s money to remain ‘competitive’.......

Yep all that tax dodging, no payment to local businesses, £60mill tax unpaid, ripping off charities let alone not paying players and staff wages....

Let`s all hope they get what they deserve...…. but they haven't/won`t ………….. cheating from top to bottom...

They need to stop showing close ups of their supporters. Quite disturbing in UHD

Both teams would need massive investment in the championship. Hopefully Charlton are some way better than both of these lots.
