See ex saint Aaron Martin is playing in league 2 play off semi for Exeter. Hadn’t realized he was there.

Jordan Turnbull and Sam Hoskins were also involved in the other fixture for Northampton.

Class player, class human, I wish him all the best at his new club.  Thanks for everything he did for this club.

Reports about Kia Joorabchian having more & more influence at Arsenal don’t seem wide of the mark.

A lovely lad and a great player.  Put him on the banner mods.

Bonne chance mon ami et merci pour tous les bons souvenirs. Nous t'aimerons toujours.

Decent deal for Arsenal.  A "free" RB to supplement their squad, with lots of prem and international experience

Four years means four decent crosses! Bargain.

If ever a signing said, ‘Arsenal are now a mid table team’ it’s this. I thought they were just after some short term cover until the end of the season but wow. If PEA leaves this summer they will be properly mediocre.

Clyne & Martina released from their respective clubs.

Let’s get the band back together again*.

It might have been worth signing Martina again just to put him on the pitch against Arsenal, just on the one in a million chance... 😆

I'd have Clyne back, but anyone would do to replace the dreadful Valery. Jermaine Wright anyone?

How much do we earn from the dippers winning the league?

Probably nothing.  Les Reed would have been all over the press saying if we had clauses.

I can cope with most of them winning a PL medal except that rat faced knobber.

Well done to mane in particular. Pleased for the bloke who was great for us and left in a respectful manner.

Assume you mean Nivea.

For me seeing VD collect a medal is galling given the way he managed to engineer his move and gave such half arsed performances for us.

A chance to see if Austin can get off the bench for West Brom tonight. No, I mean literally, lets see if he's physically fit enough to stand up from the bench.

1-0 down away from home chasing the equaliser in the second half. WBA used five subs in pursuit of a goal yet Austin's arse remained welded to the bench.

Both started for Northampton & beat Aaron Martin's Exeter 4-0 in the final.

(Hoskins scored the 3rd).

Had a look at a Spurs forum to see anything about KWP and his progress. Interesting read about Poch and some looking to dispel the myth about him bringing through young players:

Quote

Yes, Poch had a young side early on, but the majority of those players were not introduced or recruited by Pochettino. The longer his tenure went on, the more influence Pochettino had on recruitment and integration, our team got older and older until it was one of the oldest in the PL.

You categorically said he was a manager with a record of playing young players. His record for playing young players is absolutely nothing special at all.

Kind of says he knows he's injury prone and he cant wait to move the legend on

You’re letting your dislike cloud your judgement.  Klopp was class towards Ings when he left & this is pretty decent of him as well. He obviously likes the guy, and doesn’t want an injury to affect his immediate future.

They are neighbours I thought !  I think he is suggesting he doesn’t want Lallana to get injured so he can leave on a free when his contract ends .

Following yesterday's clean sheet Bialkowski now has the joint most clean sheets in English football this season.

This sounds like how he was always credited with Shaw’s announcement on the scene, when he was already our starting LB when Poch arrived. He is a great manager, and was really good for us, but I can’t help think that Koeman’s team has sort of enhanced the memory of Poch’s tenure, as it was a continuation of progress and some of that period kind of blurs into one for some I think.

Bit of a change from that horrible goal he let in against Blackpool I think it was 😕

Dominic Gape in the victorious Wycombe Team last night. Deserves to play in the Championship as was a good captain of our under 23 side a few years ago They would have been dancing in the streets of Burton Bradstock last night.

His performance at Exeter in the league cup away many moons ago was the biggest joke of a goalkeeping performance I have ever seen. It is impossible to describe how poor it was, he was totally devoid of any confidence and it was so sad to see it.

There was a lot of talk about the op and procedures he had being an absolute mess, and that kind of says it all.

Good to see him back and scoring though. Always liked Jay, shame for him as he could have been a very, very good player and would probably have left as part of our exodus post MP.

On another note, nice to see Austin really setting the levels at WBA.

They really don't like him there, calling him a L1 player on a downward path.

If Robson-Kanu gets in the team ahead of you, it's clear your time is up at the 'top levels'.

Shame, he was such a nice 'chap'.

Gareth Bale's situation is a strange one. He's clearly never going to play at Real Madrid as himself and Zidanne are always at loggerheads, doesn't even get in the match day squads.

Yet his agent is now saying that he isn't leaving Real Madrid because no one will be able to pay what he earns, and how he's 'happy' and settled at Madrid - even if he doesn't play any games?

Has Gareth completely fallen out of love with football and is just going to enjoy the mega money and not do anything until his contract runs out?

He should just admit defeat in his Zidanne showdown, leave the club and take a pay cut to join another top club. There would be countless takers if he was willing to take a pay cut, but as I said, maybe playing football isn't important to him anymore.

I see Paul Mitchel has gone to the Monaco basket case of a club as Sporting Director!  I wonder how long that will last.

Looks like Cedric's honeymoon period at Arsenal is over. A fairly familiar assessment of his talents at 3:10 onwards 🙂
