So it’s ok for you, Wes and Weston to bang on and on? I have only been replying to them and you.

Well done for voting Blair in and causing the financial crisis which has bankrupted Briton lol.

He really doesn’t get the difference between old Labour and new Labour. Perhaps if there had been Twitter back then dear old hypo would be better informed about “dangerous” socialism.

Let’s get one thing straight. I have no problem at all with politicians of any party facing negative press. But there is a huge difference between negative press that is true and negative press which is not true. Corbyn and previous Labour leaders have had to face fabricated and spun stories against them to a far greater extent than happens to the Tory party. For all the bleating about the need to stand behind democracy, how does that work when the electorate is fed a constant stream of misinformation?

Have I made up the establishment manufacturing “facts” in order to brainwash the public? Ok.
so the Guardian and Mirror have also rubbished him ! No of course not, perhaps you haven't factored in that generally people don't want Marxist/ Socialism for our country but want aspiration not a race to the bottom

Interesting. So would you say Corbyn was a more successful leader considering he definitely didn't take power and so didn't have the opportunity to wreck the country?

The difference is that Blair actually achieved something by being elected. Corbyn was pathetic and spectacularly failed to get elected as it was clear he would do when he got the job in the first place.

No one is forcing them to do it and I expect a lot of them (students etc.) value the flexibility.

Yes he missed a trick there. All he had to do was to get in first with the “Get Brexit Done” and it could have been so different. Still, we are stuck with Johnson for 5 years now. Let’s hope that Labour sort themselves out so that doesn’t become 10 years eh?

If you think a change of slogan would have made the difference then you're deluded. Corbyn simply wasn't credible.

Long-Bailey has made a pitch to get rid of the House of Lords. No bad thing but she really should be focussing on issues which will turn around Labour’s fortune and this is hardly a major issue for them at the moment.

If Labour had been pro Brexit and Tory remain we could well have seen a very different result.

Say it ain't so Soggy, you tick all my boxes but when in a hole, 'STOP digging', this post makes no sense. CB fair play: sniffer, poacher, fox in the box, low hanging fruit, shooting fish in a barrel, that bloke who clubbed a fox to death. When you've finished with all that stuff what's left? 'Professional m/board cynic' would look good on the back of a shirt.

Why? Many were predicting a hung parliament and if Labour had hoovered up the Get Brexit Done votes who knows what would have happened. I know you think that Corbyn was unelectable, but Johnson managed it.

Why would Boris Johnson have suddenly stood on a Remain ticket in an election he called specifically to deliver Brexit?

That's because Johnson was a much better candidate than Corbyn. I know it pains you but that's the truth.

I'm not talking about Corbyn. I'm talking about the most disasterous finacial crash since The Great Depression. Add on the Iraq War it makes me wonder how such an intelligent guy as yourself was taken in by Blairs promises?

Actually the end of student grants and extortionate course fees means that in effect they are being forced to work. But the Tories would call it character building to have such shyte work.

4 birds, but will the party pick the bloke again. It’ll be the third leader running from London if they do.

If he lasts 5 years in charge it’ll be 50 years since The Great lady became Tory leader. Half a century after The Tories elected a women leader, shocking.....

Do a graph on all the legislation Jeremy Corbyn has passed that will have a actual impact on people's lives. Try and include every single one.

Not the actual point. I was indicating that getting 12.8 million votes (and causing Theresa May to cry) has been plenty to form a government in the past thus blowing any claim of Corbyn not being "credible" out of the water.

But I know as an avowed Blairite you can't handle any criticism of Dear Leader. You're soooo Cool Britannia.

All white, too.

Unfortunately for those with an interest in gender equality Starmer is by far the stand out candidate.

Nandy strongest female and then after that three I don't think are remotely up to it.

Jess Phillips does not have the gravitas/composure. Good for a soundbite and the new leader needs her in the tent.

Long Bailey utterly vacuous Cretin disciple. Making gaffes all over the shop and shoes barely started. Also she has eyes like pi ss holes in the snow.

And Thornbury is utterly repellent and voters would hate her.

So Kier or Lisa for me.

So, just to recap, hes done fu ck all and will go to the grave having done fu ck all.

Still, you've previously stated you are wealthy enough to never have any concern with government legislation that impact the lives of the poorest so for you its only ever been about purity posturing. The archetypal Corbyn supporter. Cretins to a fu cking man.

Lastly, as has been explained countless times on here, vote share is absolutely irrelevant. You get to govern not by stacking up vanity votes in Islington but by having enough broad appeal to win in Worcester or Workington or Swindon. Funnily enough he never got near that.

Keep wa nking over your utterly pointless graph.

Nandy is head and shoulders above the other birds. In looks and electability. She has some interesting ideas, and would worry the tories. Phillips is just a self publicist, Long Bailey an air head & Lady Nugee would be a gift that keeps on giving. There’s no doubt that Starmer would give Boris some awkward moments in the chamber, but I doubt he’d play well with the “red wall”. He’d probably appeal to pinko remainers that couldn’t vote Corbyn, but will that be enough.

Totally missing the point again.

So how is Kier Starmer going to win over all these voters all round the county? Certainly not by getting hung up on his own skin colour or gender like you seem to be.

Great to see certain candidates being ruled out because of their appearance. Very New Labour.

Can't say I am particularly hung up on my own gender or skin colour. I'm stuck with both and I don't think I have spent a nanosecond of my entire life being concerned about either.

Thanks for your concern sweetheart.

I think Starmer will get "the point" that you dismiss as irrelevant that piling on votes and vote and votes in safe Labour metropolitan seats is not going to actually allow the Labour party to win power and influence people's lives.

Total votes and percentage of the votes is part of the picture. If he had achieved significantly lower results in 2017 than in recent elections I could buy the not credible point. As it is he was undermined from all sides, many so-called Labour supporters such as Fry cutting off their Party's nose to spite it's face.

Depends on your definition of white. Lisa Nandy's dad is Indian, and she is not white enough for the racists(bnp) , who 'accuse' her of being Muslim for some bizarre reason. (she's an atheist).

Do the bnp even exist anymore? Why are they caring about a Labour leadership candidate?

Fair enough, I wasn't aware of that. Thanks. Her father was a Marxist academic so has something in common with Ed Miliband.
