Has Obefemi touched the ball yet FFS? He offers nothing. Seriously, I've seen nothing to suggest he's a Prem player.

You’re welcome

And valery is making hard work of this. Do the basics son when you're up against it.

Valery needs to come off at half-time.

This, he’s getting worse. Just ran under the ball and headed it straight up, Arsenal broke and he had to commit a foul to get out of it.

I feel my squad prediction from earlier missing a goalkeeper was a fair and prescient post.

Sarcastic reply but apart from a foul against him he hasn't touched the ball. Zero impact... so far.

Same as last time. Arsenal are there for the taking and we just can’t seem to get it together enough to beat them.

Hojberg is never on the half turn. Utterly infuriating.

Just shows to show how sh*t Arsenal are, they’re the only team in the league who can’t score from one of our corners.

One swallow doesn't make a summer, although you say this guy is in drought territory!

Looks like we're getting a foothold again.

Arsenal haven't actually threatened much apart from our gift, just the one chance for Aubameyang really.

Can anyone actually tell what our formation is or our shape?

I get being flexible but we look all over the place.

PEH is playing deeper, Bertrand sometimes pushes into CB like a 3atb?

just seems all over the place

Nearly screwed up at the back again. Stop with all the pass backs.

and perhaps Nketiah should have scored for them there.

whilst the goal was shocking, Arsenal winning is a fair reflection on this half

Yeah, I really can't believe a top team wants him.

I don’t disagree but for somebody to say he’s shown nothing to suggest he can be a PL player is nonsense, that’s what I was replying to.

Playing like a training match. Ings the only one showing any intensity, but he always does.

Arsenal should be winning this one comfortably 3-0. But there is still hope for Ralph to come up with a plan for the second half.

Hojbjerg and Valery off at halftime, please.

Don't care who comes in instead.

Meh

Valery is such an appalling RB - still

Obafemi will do well to have a career in the top flight. No attributes what so ever that standout.

McCarthy pathetic

Hoj does not have a forward pass in him

Redmond ok

Ings looking lively

Jwp and hojberg looking off pace today so far

thought Valery started very shakily but has improved. Still looks short of confidence because last season he would have controlled cross field ball

don’t get obafemi hate. Service is terrible, almost played ings in, one the few times saints midfield have passed it anywhere but left hand side.

Typical home performance really. Too slow. Defence often exposed. Stupid mistakes.

I say it all the time but Redmond is wasted on the left, it gives him one option which is cut inside which invariably leads to it going backwards to the full back or centreback. Every single time he's played right wing he's looked significantly better.

The number of times we've effed up back passes. it's the one area where your average Sunday football keeper doesn't make mistakes, and the fact that a highly paid professional pats a five yard pass like that defies belief.

Only Ings and possibly Armstrong looked any good. Valery is bloody shocking, surely KWP can’t be any worse

Ings doing well, Armstrong pretty good, but anything to do with defending looks shaky.

I'd take off Valery and Obafemi. Also like to see Romeu on to solidify things in the back.

Pretty abysmal really and no tempo to our play so think we need long on. I’m amazed how often valery is out of position and the amount of times he ball watches. But what was McCarthy up to?? Jeez
Arsenal pretty ordinary so still a chance.

Typical Southampton home performance so far, ponderous, slow and losing.  Must be the fans.

Had high hopes for Valery this season but he has had an awful season, KWP must be terrible in training not to even get a shot.

Obafemi anonymous so far, bring on Long.

Arsenal tactically on point.

We have been too slow with our build up play at times and making a few mistakes still at the back. We are still in this! Long on at half time to increase our intensity. COYR :)

I'm on my way down the ground to boo them off at the end, they should be able to hear me from outside.

Complete and utter yawnfest augmented by a ridiculous GK howler. Bring on the second half!!!!

Abject performance so far.

When we are off our game we are not good at all.

Need to find a way to still be difficult to beat when we are having an off day. Giving gifts to the oppo doesn’t help our cause.

RB slot, GK and CB backup is essential. Maybe a CF too.

Still bottom of the league based on home results. Shocking. At least they can't blame the fans this time.
