Just seen that Roy Keane accused JWP of cheating after the penalty incident.   Roy Keane..... cheating...... ffs

Saint Roy. The Patron Saint of Fair Play........ Poacher turned gamekeeper. He does spout some nonsense. Mainly controversial and mainly nonsense.

Greenwood and Foden sent home for breaking rules, bringing girls back. What a pair of twats, make your England debut then get kicked out the squad a couple of days later for being stupid.

Might not have any effect on their future selection seeing as Walker still got picked after he had those escorts over in peak Covid times.

Couldn't cut it as a manager so he has to resort to being a professional shit talker to pass the time. Entertaining but low effort from one of the giants of the prem. He strikes me as the sort of person who has to restrain himself from punching his own face when he sees his reflection in the mirror.

Quite a cunning plan by the parent clubs - "just play one game if you must", "but do whatever you can to miss the midweek game" .

Foden is a proper chav, so it doesn't surprise me. Talented, yes, but the mentality of a moron. He'll struggle to fulfil his potential due to his seemingly dumbarse chavy ways.

How many of the current saints squad have played for England whilst at the club? I think,

McCarthy

Forster

Bertrand

Ward-Prowse

Redmond

Ings

Plus u21 Gunn and Stephens

Not bad going really.

It is decent for a club of our size, but it's also a reflection of the quality of the England squad in the last 3-5 years. How many of these players would have got a game for Germany, Spain or France in that time-frame?

England made the World Cup semi final in their last tournament 😉

If Chelsea pay 80 million for Declan Rice then the world has truly gone mad.

I couldn't believe most papers gave him a 7 on Saturday - just like tonight (aside from his fluff in front of goal sat) he has looked invisible. Kane looks a right steaming pile too.

What a joke. Ings given no real chance, Henderson or Pope given no chance, Grealish given no chance. What is the point in friendlies?!

Not a fan of Southgate. More personality in a plank of wood than him. Don’t get me started on Rice and Dier. Two hugely overrated players.

So in two matches Ings gets barely 25 mins while Citizen Kane plays almost two full games. If he doesn’t know what he can do now he never will.

Complete waste of time. Might as well of stayed at Staplewood.

Southgate will have learned nothing from these games.

In fairness they weren’t friendlies to "learn from".

Over the two games Danny Ings played about as much as I'd expected and JWP probably about 80 minutes more than I expected.

Ings was nothing more than a form-based call up that Southgate had to make. But in reality Ings has no England future, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

There is some point to friendlies but these weren't friendlies. Ooh, I've come over all MLG.

But, yeah, if you can't work out a system that gets the attacking talents of Sterling, Kane and Sancho (this is a top quality, dare I say close to world class front three) firing, then there definitely should be questions asked of the manager. Southgate is still living off the World Cup, which was fantastic on the face of it, but we did have a very favourable draw and there were clear mistakes made in the losses against Belgium and Croatia back then.

Same as every other match in the fraud of a managerial career he's failed upwards into.

Honestly, there's nobody that's ever watched a game of football that didn't know a back five and two holding midfielders would severely hamper any progressive forward play.

If he's going to play seven defensive players against Denmark, how are they going to line up against a good side?

As Sue Whistler noted ....a good game NOT to be involved in.

Southgate giving out England caps to every young starlet in the Prem. as a belated reward for last season and then playing them all out of position,

but it will increase their eventual transfer fees when clubs sell them on as " an English international ".

Am still amazed that Roy Keane has the gall to call JWP .....a cheat !     Has he broken all the mirrors in his home ?

The NON selection of Danny Ings v. Denmark prompted Darren Bent to write  (in amazement) that Danny only got 22 minutes play over the 2 games

that's one minute for each Prem.goal he scored last season.    It's phenomenal Danny scored so many from open play DESPITE not playing for a top 5  club.

I've only read a minute by minute report in a newspaper, but surely JWP and Ings must be pleased they weren't part of that? Glad I didn't make the effort to watch.

Was Ings not used because of what happened in training? Tripper was showing the effects of their coming together, hopefully Danny didn't come off worse. Assume JWP didn't play because Roy Keane suspended him for cheating. The irony of Keane calling out a cheat.

My recollection of Keane is just being a violent thug. Would that be a fair view?

No. He was a brilliant player and leader. He single handly turned around United 1999 champions league semi final against Juventus in the second leg, a real captains performance, even though he got booked and would miss the final. He didnt take any sh!t in the dressing room and was a top class captain with a relentless winning streak. Granted a few times he over stepped the mark so if you want to put that down to being a violent thug crack on, personally i think every club needs a leader like him.

I was pretty certain that in moving JWP away, the ref does actually look down at the spot, if he sees it looks like a ploughed field he is going to say something. It’s not like anyone has seen any super slo-mo closeup, like you get in golf coverage, evidence that has actually shown his boots in JCB setting - obviously in loitering on and around the spot moving his foot about just over the grass he’s not only fooled the taker but gobshoite Keane too - JWP isn’t stupid by any stretch of the imagination he isn’t going to do something stupid to queer his chances of playing for England.

Most of us have crept up behind a mate, stood behind them to the left and tapped them on the right shoulder and them turn to find no one there.........or is that sort of thing frowned on these days due to the potential psychological trauma it might inflict on the victim of the jape?

Anyway JWP should have taken a shovel to the spot because once Rice gets his £80m move to Chelsea he ain’t going to get a look in.🤪
