The trophy in question was more than likely one given to all Premier League clubs by crystal palace during their centenary year.

Therefore as the trophy is not significant to our past results, you are more than welcome to keep it.

I have decided to put the sale on hold.. I have contacted Southampton FC, I asked if it was lost or stolen.. Message from them- Dear Vincent,Thank you for your E Mail.

It’s fantastic to hear you have what sounds like an official Southampton Football Club Trophy!

Could we ask that you send us a picture of the trophy, so we can communicate with our club historians and club secretary, and advise what would be the best course of action.

I have sent the photos of the trophy and will keep you all informed.

I am interested in selling but as for price, I have no idea.... my first thoughts were that a player had had a bad game and lobbed it in the Thames.

Doing a bit of beach combing on the Thames and found it washed up on the shore.

Not sure what I have ...it is engraved 'Crystal Palace Football Club, Saturday 7th May 2005, Presented to Southampton F.C,'.... and is about 9cm high.
