This Friday, Sholing host Southampton's U18s in a pre-season friendly. Kick off is 7pm - Adults £5, Under 19's FREE (pay at turnstile, cash or card). Mortgage Decisions Stadium, Portsmouth Road, SO19 9PW At approx 6:30pm, Matt Le Tissier will be opening the new Pangea Insurance stand. Hopefully Levi Colwill will also be here after training with Chelsea. New stand is a significant investment by Sholing, adding a further 100 seats and 400 covered standing positions to the ground (we now have over 900 under cover). There's also a refurbished clubhouse, Sky Sports, upgraded toilets and a new hardstanding & well lit car park for over 100 vehicles. Saints first team are playing Eastleigh on Friday also, but I understand that's almost sold out, so this is an alternative game to see the young Saints in action and also see the improvements at Sholing. We have ex-Saints, Jake Hesketh & Jake Flannigan in our squad, as well as Matt Targett's younger brother, Brad. You can also pick up a Project 5000 Season ticket for FREE ! With no Saints game this weekend, we are offering half price admission for Southampton FC season ticket holders and members on Saturday for Sholing v Tiverton Town in the Southern League Premier (Step 3 of Non League) Please just show proof of ST/Membership at the turnstile. Cash & Card payments accepted. It's also FREE admission for all Under 18s. This will be Paul Doswell's first home game in charge and the Boatmen are currently on a 7 match unbeaten run in our first ever season at this level. I'm sure you all know that Dos (former Eastleigh & Sutton Utd manager) is a big Saints supporter and Sholing born & bred. There are plenty of Saints connections at Sholing and we currently have Jake Flannigan (pictured), Jake Hesketh and Lloyd Isgrove playing for us. All ex-Saints players and we are hoping that friend of the club, James Beattie, will be watching on from the sidelines. We've doubled the amount of covered standing at the ground for this season, so plenty of cover if it's raining. At our level, it's also ok to drink pitchside as you watch the match (in a plastic glass) If you've not visited us before, we are on P*rtsmouth Road between Sholing & Old Netley. Plenty of free parking on site. Post code SO19 9PW Hope you to see you there (and at our home game v Poole Town the following Saturday).
