    Weird story about Adkins....

    Not sure what to make of this weird story that i've seen via Twitter....... Could be BS, but makes interesting reading!!

     

    Oh, also the guy who put it on Twitter claimed it would be in the papers by Friday?!?

     

     

     

    "Nigel Adkins: England’s Most Disrespectful Manager

     

    A few months ago, Nigel Adkins, after seeing a frail and unhealthy Neil Warnock fall over in the tunnel on the way out to the Elland Road pitch, remarked ‘pick yourself up Colin, you’re an absolute ****ing mess.’ Adkins’ Southampton ended up losing 3-0, which I suppose was a case of karma coming back to bite ol’ Nige in the arse.

     

    As well as this, a friend of mine that lives just outside Southampton told me some other things about him recently; basically, Adkins had this big back garden, pretty much like a small park, and he used to hit golf balls from his patio into the vast grounds of his estate - the thing is though he was often drunk (as well as an awful shot at the best of times), and his myriad errant shots caused substantial damage to the fences that separated his land from the next door neighbours’. He subsequently refused to foot the bill for repairs, claiming that he wasn’t responsible for the damage, even though of course he clearly was. He was obviously on a pretty hefty wage as manager of a Premiership club (at the time — ed.), and so could afford good lawyers, court costs and so on. His neighbours in fact ended up dropping all charges due to the fees that they would have to pay upfront if they’d’ve actually taken him to court.

     

     

    The icing on the cake is a story I heard only very recently, about a time relatively long ago. This story has been kept surprisingly quiet, I’ve not actually read anything about it at all in the mainstream media. Allegedly, whilst riding a wave of success as manager at S****horpe (NB: Adkins went from club physio to caretaker manager to manager after Brian Laws was sacked in late 2006, guiding S****horpe to promotion from League One in the same season as his appointment. — ed.), Nigel Adkins began an appalling programme of psychological abuse aimed at his predecessor, Brian Laws. Every evening, just before eating his dinner, Adkins would telephone Laws, and when Laws picked up Adkins would calmly ask ‘what is wrong with you?’ Regardless of what Laws said in response, Adkins would simply hang up after a few seconds and repeat the following day at roughly the same time. Of course, Laws stopped picking up the phone after the routine continued for a few days, but Adkins would instead just leave a message on the answering machine each day, with that same question. This happened from the day of S****horpe’s promotion in April 2007 until September of the same year, when Laws successfully filed a restraining order against Adkins."

    Pentax Digital SLR Camera = Lens

    Any idea why I couldn't find the camera using a normal e-bay search please? I searched for 'pentax k110' and my camera was not in the results page!

     

    By the way Pancake (and others) I have set the reserve at a measly £80. Although I would consider that dirt cheap I try to price items to sell. Good luck and let me know if you fancy having a play with it prior to bidding.

     

    Please also note that i am not including batteries or memory card as mrs h has bagsie'd them
