  1. Now had anyone else been able to get on the website to buy yet? I don't have a season ticket, am a lapsed member (i.e. have a customer number but not paid the £25 membership fee for the year) but it looks like when I try and buy a ticket via the website it's telling me I need a 2016/2017 season ticket.

    Anyone else had this?

  2. Inter website are now selling tickets for our game but saying saints fans can't buy them and will not be allowed entry into any other parts of the stadium. Sounds like there will be lots of us in bars/pubs across the city.

Only thing I would say and not wanting to sound like a smart arse is that (to massively generalise) the view of most Italians about English football fans are that we're hooligans, still as a carry over from Italia 90 when Sardinia got smashed up plus from what they saw over the summer and other recent games in Rome.

Police there can be heavy handed and not all that friendly (think French riot police).

That said Milan is a cracking night out and lots of decent bars etc. There's a pretty good German/Austria bar called Wiener Haus that's not too far from the station and the English Football Pub (look it up on Facebook) is close to the Duomo. Beer is a bit hit and miss but they'll be showing the football.

  3. I would be amazed if you can. Worked there last year and to buy tickets (any tickets) you need to show a form of ID, i.e. passport or ID card. I doubt very much you will be able to tickets in the Inter End with a UK passport unless you are an official member of the Inter fan club and have the appropriate fan card (tessera del tifoso), you need one to demonstrate you're an inter fan if you have a non Milan address, see the note for Cagliari and Bologna fans:

Should clarify that I was go to standard Serie A games as I have a UK passport and so wouldn't be thought of as being an ultra from one of the other Italian teams. An Italian with an address similar to the opposition team would not be able to without the tessera

  4. You may well be wrong, yes. Read the last half of the thread (ignoring my stuff at the start about not being ID'd).

  5. I took my son at 3. He loved it but admit we had to distract him for some of the game. Regularly I think 5 is a good age.

Probably helped that we won (Swansea, home) and that the wife came too tho

  6. We don't, as proven when I recorded all of our songs at two matches in October for use in FIFA11. Eight out of forty-four that I've noted here, actually - that's 18%, under a fifth. And we don't sing "Pompey's Going Down With No Money In the Bank" any more, unfortunately.

The list is below, I've added a few others which have been heard this season and the Skate Cheat songs in bold :

    "There's only one Markus Liebherr"

    "Walking in a Liebherr Wonderland"

"Doo-doo-doo-doo *in October was Jason Puncheon, now Richard Chaplow

    "Nananananana Alex Chamberlain"

    "Nananananana David Connolly"

    "Super Kelv"

    "Deano Deano Deano"

    "Cortese Ohhhhh"

    "We don't care about you"

and the detestable "We're United... er I mean Southampton... we do what we want"

Apart from that, yes, singing about the Chairman is utterly lame.

How how how do I get this on a download?? Didn't even know you could songs to Fifa. My life just got so much more transfixed to the PS3.

    Link pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  7. Could well be. That would explain his thumbs up to Mad Milan after the Krap Nottarf capitulation.

Always thought this was the case, like everyone has said he was unenthuastic and down the players from day 1.

I've always wondered whether the alleged dodgy payments stopped after the twitch left nottarfkrap?

    Just some thoughts!

  8. Can I direct you to Meydan, the new Dubai racecourse, built for £123million? Now ok it is not a round stadium but even if it were it would have cost four times as much maximum. And that has floodlighting across two miles of track and a bloody cinema!!

Probably has a little to do with the fact that the average asian/filipino worker in the middle east gets paid a pittance (try

so speaketh the expat oil worker!

  9. I agree with Alpine saint it's weird. I live in Qatar and they show Rai Uno, Rai Due and Media Set 1 (Italian version of BBC1, BBC2 and ITV) + loads of German, Russian, French and Spanish channels (+ some rubbish arabic ones) but the only UK ones are BBC prime and BBC world...both of which are cack!

  10. You clearly have no idea if you think it is an achievement for this squad to stay up.

We have the biggest wage bill in the league and have spent 5 times more than any other team this summer. Have the 3rd highest average attendance. Basically we should be still aiming for a play off spot. Our squad is in the top 3 if not the best in the league and should be getting around 90 points (or 80 including the points deduction).

Just a question but how does anyone honestly know we have the highest wage bill in this league??

Finances only get released with tax year etc. and we aren't the only sole owned club in this league.

Quite a few of our players were ex-yoof so surely they can't be on too much.

not a dig just interested to know how we can know our finances and that of al of the other clubs in our league....:confused::confused::confused:

  11. I agree with you about Pardew but before I elabrate I would suggest that it would have been a good idea for some one from the club to have said at the beginning of the season it is unlikely that we will be promoted this season because of the points deduction and having to be rebuild ready for next season

I felt the expectations of many on here were way too high an although there is a plan to get to the Premiership in five years there have been no milestones published to guage whether the plan is working.

With regard to Pardew you are right no one knows whether he will succeed but in the short term as long as we beat the teams like Wycombe Leyton Orient etc there is no reason to change managers as it will take time for his team to gel.

However if we are struggling to beat better teams by the end of March that is a different situation.

If we are in a reasonable position then and playing well we should then be with the acquisition of a few quality Championship calibre players be ready to mount a promotion bid next season.

    Be serious!

If the club had said this at the beginning of the season or when they took over people would have been up in arms! Also what message does it send the players saying they we would settle for surviving? That sort of attitude breeds complacency, and Pardew has already stated that some of the players came in thinking they were God's gift (or words to that effect) after the win.

Maybe (only maybe mind :o) this will be a good kick up the a*se for the players and make them realise (yet again) they have to fight for points in this division.

I'm sure that Pardew deep down, doesn't consider promotion this season a realistic target but there's no way he should state this either publicly to us and especially not the players. Push them for all they can give and if we fall short then fine but is you aim for sh*te you'll not end up smelling good (apologies for English but not sure best way of putting that)

  12. whether i add to the debate I'm not sure but I drive about 2 hrs a day in the middle east t and from work and have to put up with qatari drivers coming up behind me and sitting behind me when I'm doing 120kh (local speed limit) and overtaking.

they sit about 1m behind you (not joking, seen it when they overtake other people and I'm in the inside lane) and just flash their lights at you until you move over (sometimes I REALLLLLY wish I had a Bond oil slick car). Trust me british divers have nothing on them.

That said having lost control of car with a blowout on the M6 doing 70mph about 6 yrs ago and luckily hitting a lorry rather than another car so my car collapsed with the impact instead of someone else's I totally agree with all of the anti-speed comments on here. I don't think people realise what their speed can do to other people. When it's late and people are tired it's very easy to miss a car doing 100 on your outside instead of 70 as they should be.

Again that said and to hopefully get back on topic we may still get to + points before P*mpey!!!
