Am I the only one that thinks it is a massive gamble paying £4m for Rhodes? yes he has been banging them in at L1 level but there is no guarantee he will bang them in at Championship level and we have no idea whatsoever what he could do at prem level as it is a totally different kettle of fish to the championship,Hooper for me is the one we should pursue for now as he has always played at this level and above and I am pretty sure he could do a job to get us into the premiership.

 

It is a catch 22 situation I think with Rhodes,yes he is a very promising prospect we all agree but at this stage in the season it is a massive gamble for us to bring in players that we have no idea on what they are capable of,what if we do get Rhodes and pay over the odds for him say £4m + and he is out of his depth? if we go up to the prem we may as well write him off as we will never get that money back for him from a lower level club and he will not get anywhere near our starting 11.

But if he does start banging in goals then we are laughing,of course I am just a armchair manager and I know nothing but I think that we should try and go for someone that is proven at this level and above

for 2/3 million more Hooper is the much more sensible option, everyone keeps classing Rhodes as promising but seem to forget that Hooper is still only 23

For any of you that dont know who hooper is, your lack of general football knowledge is quite shocking, and for that reason your opinon on other targets is pretty much meaningless! Hooper would be an outstanding signing for us, his record, pedigree and age make him a much better option than some of the overated, untested players that we are constantly linked with. Hooper is a player that has done it at every club he has played for, no matter what the level (non league through too europe), not somthing that can be said about maynard, lukas or sharpe.

From what I know the long term plan is for Jackson farm to be turned into a training ground/ reserve pitch once we reach the premiership. Im not ITK really but I was passsed on this from someone working on the new develpments

Perhaps Perry offered more of a coaching role ?? We also need to watch out for the likes of Mills etc becoming want away.

Iv just done my predictions for the next 10 games being fairly neutral and feel we can get 21 points which is a average of 2.1 per game so if we need a average of 1.83 to be possibly in the playoffs then i think we have a outside chance.

Obviously though we just have to wait and see and not get carried away.

Really disappointed about today! Was'nt to sure if we needed anyone at first but the more I think about it the more I realsie we are massivly lacking up front and out wide. But Jaidi could still be the signing of the season.

Saw him at Stockport looked like just what we need.

Completely agree - it's more than likely he reads this site.

However i dont think at the moment he is anywhere near good enough but slatting him in public is not the answer. It seems to be the case that most of the people on here are thick as s**t and know nothing about football so at some point they have to be moaning about one player. your menat to support you team, some people on here need to start doing that!

Finally back to the original point he needs to go on a season loan to league 2 where he can learn the game and build strength and confidence.

A few on the coach back from Swindon last night agree with that, he's a great goalkeeper, but can't influence the game from being in goal. Perhaps Murty would be a better option for captain.

Personally I think you captain has to be in central midfield even at right back it's not easy to communicate with half the players on the pitch. Also think that you need a vocal expereinced central defender who organises the back line.

Does anyone else just think that it dosent matter what league we are in we are just naturally a relegation fighting team!

Also what is with the obsession with JPS i swear he was'nt that good when he was here, Im sure we can find better out their with expereince of the league.

Personally I think Schnederlin is gonna be to weak for this league and definatly not the kinda player we should b playing away from home against teams like swindon and huddesfield.

Final point just seen the table and if we had won every game so far after a week and a half we would be just 2 points off 19th!

Yea would raise the bar for thomas and perry, lets just hope and if he's been trinaing with us then should fit in quickly

Im not ITK but jst been told by someone that might know something that Jaidee will be signing tommorrow. Good news if true, could be just as crucial as Lambert. Just passing on the info iv been told take it or leave it.

Remember lee holmes has only just turned 22, think he will really be one of our stand out players if he stays fit.
