Sholing FC today failed to win the Zamareto division one South and West title despite a 3-1 win at Wimborne. They now have to play off in the play off semi finals on Thursday night at their Portsmouth Road stronghold. The league has been won by Totton (who play in blue) but we need to get behind the red and white stripes of Sholing to ensure Southampton is well represented in the Zamareto premier. I remember running on the pitch from the West Stand after the final whistle against Spurs in 1978 and singing 'We all agree Southampton are magic are magic are magic' over and over in front of the Directors box. In those days pitch invasions seemed to be encouraged.
