We havent really used him in his favoured position (central midfield). With JWP going I wouldn't be against him staying and making the midfield his own. He has got the physicality needed for the Championship as well.

Shows how poor that 2004 side were, but must also show how much the quality of the league has also gone up as that side still very nearly stayed up. 

Hopefully what we have, even if we loose a few key players gives us a very strong side for the Championship. We just need someone to find their scoring boots!

What is the legality around artificial grass? I'm sure there was a team in Europe which all the big boys lost against as they had an artificial pitch. If we as a team could get used to playing on it, it could be a massive differentiator.

Benali and Dodd, and to an extent Lundekvam were all average yet played together in a pretty decent defence. Maybe it was Killer who was the difference!

interesting when we changed back to Ralphs standard, tried and tested tactic we were much better. 

You wonder whether Ralph already knows Selles is the man in waiting. His post match press conference almost seemed to be him saying, I disagree with the tactics being pushed in me by the staff - this is what happens! 

Those worrying about McCarthy and think Ralph will be blinkered. Don’t forget he had faith in Gunn as the new young keeper 2 seasons ago (that didn’t pan out) but he has form for putting his faith in young players 

Wonder if Moi will go in the other direction - known product in Scottish football but obviously has the Celtic connection.

Do people still dress up for the last away game of the season? Haven't seen it mentioned recently but remember in the past we did Marsden, Kachoul, Strachen.

A very generic, unresearched observation but....

We play well against teams who like to play football. We struggle against teams who put men behind the ball / play defensively. Until we can work out how to grind out results and play dirty we will keep getting frustrating losses against lower level teams.

My assumption is because we either haven’t had a major academy player sale for a while / we have been making money through buying in raw and selling in as a profit (so players not actually being trained by us).
