  1. Been to Bansko loads of times so if you want any info on skiing there, best routes, best off piste places to eat etc give me a PM. Let me know where you are staying, i can also recommend a good ski hire shop close to the gondola

Cheers - just sent you an e-mail! Much appreciated.

  2. On a slight tangent, who here wears a helmet whilst skiing or boarding?

I never have and never really felt unsafe but it seems like in the last 10 years most other people have started wearing them (and telling me I'm dangerous for not).

Go boarding and skiing and always wear a helmet. More to do with protecting me from the idiots on the slopes rather than from my own behaviour.

  3. Is anyone skiing in Bansko this week? Thinking of booking for next year but never been that early in the season.

My son's girlfriend's brother went yesterday. I'll try and get an update later. We are going to Bansko on the 10th Jan but never been anywhere except the Alps so intrigued to see what it's like.

  4. Just got back from the game and never in 36 years of following Saints have I been so ashamed of what I saw. Taking my 7 year old son I got caught right in the middle of what was clearly a pre-planned fight at the cricket club. To some extent some may describe it as minor but he wet himself and was terrified of what he saw. He didn't stop crying until we entered the ground. Who started it is neither here nor there but those involved should hang their heads in shame and in my view are a moronic element of our fan base that clearly have little or no intelligence.

That's awful - hope your boy is ok.

  5. Having lived in Sheffield for the last 4 years coming off at Chesterfield is a good idea, unless you’re travelling through rush hour.

As for parking ignore that Meadowhall idea, the nearest tram stop is about a 20 minute walk away. Then by the time you eventually get the tram and arrive at Meadowhall it will be nearer an hour. Plus Meadowhall is another junction up, which means if you’re heading back down the M1 you've added more time onto your journey.

Personally I'd park in the car park next to Decathlon; it’s about a 5/10 minute walk from the ground and only 50p an hour. This is Decathlons address, 199 Eyre St S1 3HU. However you may enter from Jessop or Sylvester St, the car park is just to the left of the main Decathlon car entrance.

Cheers Dan I will park there. Should be an eventful day as my boy is at Sheffield Uni so after the game we'll be packing the car to bring him home for Christmas! Cannot wait!
