I’d speculate the “thing” is possibly Sulemana committing himself to fight the good fight, which hopefully he does.

Yep agree 100%, there is something why he's not making the match day squad. In RM we trust! I'm loving Saints football at the moment to be winning games and unbeaten is a great feeling even if it's in the Championship. I feel for those poor bastard Luton, Everton and Sheff Utd fans, we know what they are just starting to go through. COYS!

Why are people so keen to write off / ditch Sulemana?

He's could be brilliant at this level, and he certainly doesn't have less end product than Sam (one goal doesn't make a summer, although hopeful for many more)

Time will tell on him and if he gets a run in the side, he was unplayable v Liverpool so we know there is a hell of a player in there. The gaffer must see something that stopping him at the moment.

I wonder if Sean Dyche would be interested in a striker who is (supposedly) good in the air and previously banged in goals for fun in Europe. Going cheap.

Good in the air. That's Tall Paul out of the running

19 goals for Genk says different. Probably a player in there somewhere but we've hardly had chance to see it.

I hope you're right, But we haven't seen him anywhere near the first team this season. RM probably knows if there is a player in there somewhere.

You miss my point, I am being realistic. He can clearly score goals but in a different system, definitely not part of Martin's plans obviously. However if the club can't sell him or loan him out then Martin will have no choice but to use him, if injuries strike.

There ain't no Clearly in it, I don't think he knows where the goal even is from what I've seen of him.

    Well.. Genk want Onuachu apparently

But Paintsil isn’t convinced to come here

Probably saw how Tall Paul was out of his depth and useless last season and decided English leagues are not for him.

Has he downed tools? I always understood Salisu was instrumental in persuading him to come to Saints and now that tosser has left, perhaps Sule is looking to leave to.

I was going to suggest we should fish in the S.American sea because Alcaraz seems to have the right attitude...but then Lyanco springs to mind..and Guly....

As an Atlanta United MLS season ticket holder we have fished that South American pond and brought is a bunch of 'talent' to be let downs. Only Josef Martinez (now with Messi in Miami) and Almiron have been big success stories.

Kluivert is massively overrated imo. I think he'll be a poor bit of buisness. Scott is obviously untested at that level but looks a decent signing and I highy rate Aarons.

I still think they'll struggle though, but will likley have enough as the leauge is going to be really weak next year.

Sheff Utd seemingly going down without a fight.

And without kicking a ball yet.

    Why?

He’s a bang average premier league player & they’re a bang average premier league club.

I totally agree with you, I have the same feelings for Tino leaving. Lavia on the other hand I'd be happy to see stay.

Still find it amazing that a team with so much expensive talent managed to get relegated. Admittedly Tino didn't play until it was all over but still. 😐

Just extremely badly managed and coached by a welsh egomaniac and his clueless successor.

    Hi

Any ideas on how to watch Sheffield W game.  I'm on hols from UK and can't go to a sports bar as my daughter isn't over 21.

My UK sky account won't work so wondering if there is a single game pass option for a mobile device.

I'm guessing the saints player in post above won't work as it is being shown on ESPN

    Cheers

I think ESPN+ is free for 7 days, so sign up and cancel after the game.

Possibly, but on the other hand, perhaps you could say that they have waited, allowed Liverpool to show their tightfisted colours and then waltzed in at the eleventh hour and got their man by simply paying the fee needed. The only possible reason Lavia would turn Chelsea down is if he is concerned about starting games - and that issue would not be solved by Chelsea coming to the table earlier.

As I said earlier on this thread. Chelsea to come in with a £60m take it or leave it offer, job done.

And send us a player or two as part of the deal, don't they need to offload more players from their bloated squad?

Does anyone know how these things work if mad Nate manages to get a job at another club? Does he still get the 3.5 years pay off?

I don't think he gets paid of he gets another job, I think that was a big part of Marsch turning us down, if he can to St Mary's he would forgo his Leeds millions for the next few seasons. We would have to make him a better offer than what he is making sitting on his couch.
