I thought all the howlers were due to Martin's tactics?
Martin's tactics simply magnified the shithousery.

Fairly obviously to intercept the through ball and if he'd got his foot out another two inches to the side he'd have done it very well. Fine margins but this wasn't some sort of howler.
A bad touch can happen. But after the error he makes zero attempt to win the ball back. He sits up and takes 3 lazy strides towards the net (not the ball). Afterwards, our fearless captain simply puts his chin to his chest...
I give zero fault to Manning, and this was not a lack of communication, Still.

SR has done 1 thing well in its tenure: selling. Patience!

Yep. And he's shite in that, too.
I wonder if he'll do his coaching badges with us...
"Right lads, here's how to pull someone's hair in front of the camera and get caught and, bollocks, I forgot to mark someone and they've scored. Be right back after my suspension."
Our developing players can benefit from watching how not to defend.

Luckily any Kent based Saints fans who don't want to be associated with P&O can buy the new shirt from that far -east website without a sponsor on
And they can feel good about themselves not supporting P&O's exploitive methods. But their fake kit will be made using Uyghur labor, sooooo....

In attack, we've recruited Gaetan Courtet, an experienced player who has spent his entire career in France. He's not young any more...
Not fair. Why do they get to make sensible choices that we seem to shy away from?

It is an attitude thing. We need stronger mentalities for the rebuild. Send Nappies on his way.
Omg, I agree with Saint_clark...

Another young keeper at a high cost.
He appears to be a better shot-stopper than Baz, but spills out some uncomfortable rebounds there too--ones our current defense will fail to clear out due to the roots in their feet.

My 25-26 predictions
- We will make the playoffs but not automatics
- Ross Stewart comes out of the gate swinging under Still's crossing patterns, but is soon hurt until at least March.
- Bazunu begins as our starter.
- Bazunu ends as our starter. Saintsweb wept.
No matter what happens...Beat Pompey 2x or the season is shit.

I would love for you to be right here. I truly do.
We will see in August.

Again the differences between this year and last year are HUGE.
it is not prima facie. the directorships of the Club and the added shares in Sports Republic. Dirk Gerkens (a trusted employee of Solak over the years) being a shareholder and holding the reigns at Valenciennes. This all shows that furniture has been rearranged.- Spors is implementing a clear, centralised football strategy.
- Šolak is now engaged at the top. He was a more passive owner, now he’s directly installed as Chairman
- The mistakes are being acknowledged—not repeated.
Patience is still needed, but let’s not pretend nothing has changed. It absolutely has.
A new coat of paint. Nice...

Rubbish question. Southampton 'til I die.

So our new signing is ridiculously big and fast, but he is in the second league and not playing. None of this adds up... Does he pull hair like our current CB? If not, he is still an improvement.

Your players have gained experience, if you were to sell Juan today, you would have transferred him for at least 3.5 million euros, 800 thousand euros, not a bad profit at all. He is an extremely hard-working striker.

Romulo is seemingly interesting Champions League clubs, it is a hard sell for the player to prefer Saints in the Championship over that. Had we still been in the Premier League it may have been possible as we could compete on wages.

'Thanks boss - will I get my big move now?'
'Yes, congratulations on a great campaign and your Champions League offers for next season... but have you ever heard of Southampton? They're known as the second-worst Premier League team ever and they'll be playing in the second division in England. That's your prize'I think not.
The player does have to actually want the move for the multi-club model to work - and why on earth would he want to come here ahead of his other options?
Great... Juan gained experience... He is still not at our level, and we should never have signed him at his current state. Goztepe got a player that would be otherwise wildly out of their budget on the low or high end of your projections. This is a one-sided relationship.
And ffs... it is Anderlecht. BELGIUM!??? This is not Barcelona or PSG so save me the Champions League comments. It we cannot woo players from Belgium, we might as well punch our ticket downwards right now.

I'm sorry. We are signing players and beefing up Goztepe... What is the point if we don't get to sign their best? Seems a lopsided relationship.

You might as well let me play instead of Will Smallbone. I can also be a pylon, and I will do it on the free.

Sulemana is busting back on D and blocking shots. Where has this grit been all season?
Robinson looks like Dibling circa Sept/Oct at moments.

Pretty much spot on for me… I always thought, as you say, pretending Stephens was the second coming of Beckenbauer and effectively disrupting what was, at the time one of the best back lines in the league almost cost us promotion and it was only really our quality overall that got us over the line
Charles was nowhere near as bad as Russell made out, he literally just played more direct then he wanted
That was why we pushed Alcaraz on, as well. Combine that with our remaining players only looking to play sideways or backwards...Martin hurt us much more deeply than just a terrible set of results this year.
Good riddance. I look forward to him working his "magic" on Leicester.

gtfo... we are going to tie this 2-2. Both goals by Sulemana who actually tries with the insane idea in his mind that he is actually Arsenal material.
