  1. It's only up the road from me so I look forward to seeing all you bedwetter on Tuesday night! :o)

Shame we didn't let the BBC show the game to earn Stevenage some much needed cash and just played our rezzies.

  2. Am i only one who thinks guly was crap and puncheon was better out of the 2, not that it was hard.
    - What a lot of rubbish. Guly played well today, working hard to close the ball down and played up front on his own, trying to hold the ball up as much as possible. Sure he gave the ball away a couple of times, but who wouldn't under such pressure from the league champions?! I'm a fan of Puncheon but today he showed absolutely zero intent to take his oppo on and frustrated us all that were at the game.

Fox - 4; gave the goal away, although didn't get a huge amount of support from Rodriguez. Distribution not brilliant and didn't get forward as much as would have liked.

Didn't get a huge amount of support from JROD? Were you even at the game?! JRod worked his socks off to cover the defensive positions and on at least three occasions he was the last defensive player down that side. Fox was just poor at getting forward today but maybe that was the order from Adkins? Who knows.

  3. The away dressing rooms at SMS once had 6ft mirrors on the inside of the toilet cubical doors, so you could sit and watch yourself excrete before walking out infront of 32,000 people. No idea if they are still there.

Yep, still there as of the end of season game that I played in at least.

Not six foot but in two parts. I thought it was so they could do their bejazzles? ;)

  4. Ronnie Ekelund
    - What a player, totally stunning to watch him and Le Tissier and I love the story of how we ended up with him. He'll have a place in Saints fans hearts forever.

My pick would be Jelle Van Damme. Brilliant name, looked the part but had the attitude of a petulant child. Saw him play once and thought he'd be insanely good, then saw him at Plymouth away in a pre-season friendly and couldn't believe the difference.

  5. He may have great potential, but whereas we could all see ox demonstrating his potential against fully grown men, we haven't yet seen that with Shaw.

If he wants to go, he'll go. It doesn't mean the end of the world, nor that the aspirations we have a re null and void. We'll move on, and hopefully up.

    Bang on.

  6. It's interesting to read that we rate a youngster who hasn't started a game yet, at 'way' more than £4m. Interesting in comparison with someone like Jarvis for example, who Wolves fans rate at £10m plus. The Premier League certainly inflates a players value.

I especially like the comparison with Jordi Alba at £8m.....now, if Saints were to use the £4m from the sale of Shaw and spent another £4m plus wages on Alba (had he not joined Barcelona), then we'd all be creaming ourselves. And quite rightly so.

So the moral? If he does leave, then it's not the end of the world.

  7. Yep, the magic of Umbro - you always need at least the next size up from what you would usually buy.

Nice to see that the season DVD is out too, wonder why they didnt make more of an announcement of that ? Nobody could complain about that....could they ?

I got an XL which seemed to be exactly the same fit a last seasons shirts. I'm a 44 chest btw.

    Thank you.

  8. They released it in West Quay because the shop is smaller, hence the queueing. Supply and demand, making it appear that the shirt has the possibility to sell out again will mean a rush of people to the megastore tomorrow morning, just wait and see.

On the shirts, are the mediums actually mediums or does the average fan need an XL to save the blushes of it looking skin tight?

  9. I'd rather we try getting Fraser Forster, good at Celtic on loan, only 24, wants to play PL football and Newcastle want to sell. Wouldn't cost much fee wise or wages wise either.

Absolutely agree with this option. Needless to say he was great for me on Football Manager..........(Which seems the only way people rate players on here!)

  10. For all those wishing for Danny Murphy, as someone who has watched a lot of Filham over the last four years, his legs have gone and can only last 60-70 minutes maximum at PL pace. He poses another problem in that he's a very clever, deep lying, ball player. Something we have Morgan Schneiderlin for.

As a fantasy signing, I'd love to see Drogba :)

  11. Technically it's not a free phone number, you've just already paid for it within your included minutes on your contract, technically ;)

Technically I could just use my work mobile, therefore, technically it'll be free to me ;)
