I reckon I can spend about £900 PCM at the moment, I'm guessing and hoping that a permanent position will result in a pay rise. Wimbledon is a place close to my heart so I thought about looking around there but I really want as few changes with trains as possible, hence looking at the Piccadilly and Central lines.

Living in wimbledon I can get the District line to Blackfriars or the overground in via city thames link. 3 min walk to chancery lane from there so its best to keep that in mind. 900PCM is loads for somewhere nice in zone 3 if your Flat/house sharing. With that budget places in zone 1 like kennington or shoreditch could be a option

I have just moved from East London to Wimbledon. Both have their advantages. I work around Chancery Lane so if you are looking for somewhere good on the central I would say Stratford is a great bet (after the Olympics have died down). Holborn in 25 mins. Waterloo in 20. Great transport links and “should” be up and coming after the regeneration of the area. Stratford is quite cheap too. If you’re looking west places like Acton are getting a better reputation. That’s on the pic.

Seen on twitter this week that a Southampton XI are playing Sutton united with Thursday (9th). Seems to be on the Sutton Website. Anyone know of any ticket details on this? Emailed the ticket office but no reply of yet. Be gutted if I missed it as its just down the road from me. Anyone else thinking of going?

Went in 1987 - when you could still get Interail tickets that were anywhere in Europe for a month for about £90 - slept mostly on trains, met loads of Scandinavian ladies , great time.... was 18... perfect free summer of excess.

£90?!?! what a bargin. A 2 week ticket is around £150 now. A month is £250. So im trying to keep the whole trip under £500. £100 return flights and some cheap hostels!

Cheers for all the advice guys! Ive been to Croatia once bu never to Zagreb so looking forward to it. Hoping to do the historical bits like the Brandberg Gates and Auschwitz. I have to get a overnight train from Krakow to Budapest so I will be sure to sleep on top of my bag!

I did google the film “hostel” the first line was “The film explores the psychology of ‘Ragging” .... I think I will give that one a miss!

I’ve been researching it the past few days. Plan is to get a cheap flight to Berlin and then head to Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Vienna and Zagreb. Then a cheap flight back. For under 25’s there is a big discount on the price of the train ticket which is good. Just going to stay in hostels ect. Looking at doing it all in 3 weeks.

Any must see places to visit? Any tips?

The worst i have been to was Watford Away last season. It was more like a nightclub than a football match.

Can anyone else see Coventry tickets on sale online? May be a glitch. Blocks 46, 47 in the away end are available to select. I seem to be able to get 2 tickets, for example, in block 11. None where I want to sit. (Block 38/39.) I know tickets are on sale Saturday, anyone know about availability?

Have they stopped non ST holders buying them now? I must have got in just at the right time. In other news it looks like those other "Palace" tickets have sold out online

The Ticketing systems is a joke. I bought 2 “restricted view tickiets” for Palace. I gather the ones on Sale now are not restricted view! Tempted to ring up and get a refund then by some “normal” view tickets. Knowing my lucky I would end up getting now tickets at all. Seems to be some sort of communication breakdown between the OS and ticket office. I bought 2 posh tickets this morning without being a ST holder. People on here have managed to get Coventry tickets without having been to the Barnsley or Ipswich games just because they got a lucky person on the phone that didnt have a clue what they were doing. Totally screwed up. Bring on the new system next season.

I Fell this could really be "the one". Got a training day at work in Angel! 4pm finish straight to Kings X. Cant wait for this one. Missed out on the cracker of a game last season at London road.
