  1. Had moderate success setting up our spare room into a 'brewing room' last year at uni.

The problem we had was controlling the temperature, but I'm sure there are more sophisticated ways of doing this other than turning a fan on when it got too hot.

First batch: Bit rubbish, cloudy, too strong.

Second batch: Tried to rip off London Pride, made it too watery

Third Batch: Rip off of Hog's Back TEA... worked a treat. Tasted pretty close to it, and we used stuff called Irish Moss which apparently helps the cloudiness disappear! Seemed to do the trick.

Looking forward to setting it up again next year.

  2. You have OCD if that's how tidy your desk is after 8 hours work!!!

Well, it's a 'stock' photo of that room, but it looks pretty much like that most of the time. The empty cups of coffee are at the back of the room though, needless to say...

    What do you do exactly?

Well... I'm working for a recording company in West London. My job pretty much involves me either going out on gigs in a big recording truck and setting up mics/making sure everything works/climbing around in roofs of buildings/making tea for semi-famous people etc etc, or being in the office editing/mastering bits of music. EG: I've just finished putting toether doing some crappy Christmas compilation album for a record label.

    Does that help?

It has its ups and downs...

  3. iTunes will do that for you, albeit really crudely and badly.

Toast/Nero will do it much better.

Alternatively, use Audacity and burn yourself a red book CD using DiscWrite.

Or if you've got a few grand going spare, buy a Sequoia rig.
