  1. It's hard to stay positive when I cannot see how the team is strong enough to survive next season. Particularly if Jay and Morgan also go.

    Our current squad as of 29th july 2014 @ 13.23 is not strong enough, but we have received nearly £100m for the players who have already left.

    I will panic only when the transfer window closes and we haven't bought anymore than the two outfield players already signed. We need high quality replacements and have the money to get them and the attraction of P.L football for decent players around the world.

    I'm just hoping the staff are working to get at least one player per player sold in the building asap!!!

  2. Pete,

    I did my diss at Solent two years ago now. Survey monkey or similar is a good idea, they dont involve downloading, they record the answers provided, and produce statistics of the results given, taking out some analysis work for you.

    I downloaded the questionnaire, but theres no mention of how to send you the filled out paper, Ive filled it out and its sat on my desktop!

    Unfortunately, the general public are on the whole;

    1) Initially wary of studies asking them to be participants *****ill they have the requirements explained),

    2) Unwilling to help; nothing in it for them.

    3) Generally lazy to the research process. They expect to be asked to make the least amount of effort possible, otherwise they'l leave it. Therefore, you need to make your questionnaire as easy for the respondants to complete.

    As a pointer, people are wary of downloading things onto their computers these days due to viruses etc, so an online questionnaire appears safer. More over, it's an effort for them to email it back to you (providing they have half a brain, and that half has the initiative to realise you put your email address in your original post.

    I've been through it (twice), so know what i'm talking about!

  4. Another funny quote from a similar article that i'm reading; “Guly, you’re ****,” exclaims one Southampton fan, standing up and pointing his finger acrimoniously at Saints’ 31-year-old Brazilian attacker. “You must be the only Brazilian who can’t play football,” he continued. Then he sits down calmly, takes a swig on his cup of tea and bites into his steak and kidney pie. Passionate, unorganized and totally encapsulated with the game, that is a typical Saints fan.

  5. Our season tickets are about half way up block 40 in the Northam, the only seated rows are the first 12 approximately, these are the rows that the stewards make sure everyone is seated, and most may do anyway. I enjoy standing, its good for singing, shouting and creating the atmosphere. Without us standing, it would be like watching a training match. Standing isn't for everyone, and i intend to keep standing and singing until my knees give in which is the main reason why alot of older fans sit down, they are more comfortable seated.

  6. Players arrive between 11am-12.30pm in there own section of chapel carpark. There is some low level fencing errected as a walkway for them to get into the LHS of chapel stand. There is usually a fair few fans who wait there (more as it goes on into the day) and they are usually happy to sign things and if you ask nicely, they are happy to pose for a photo as long as there isnt a huge que of photo hunters waiting for them. If you arrive at about 11, u will see them all, and pick whos autographs you want. I got a shirt signed by the team which is now on framed on my wall.

  7. Apologies in advance for the rant, but it seems many users of this roundabout are unaware of its road layout. There is a set of traffic lights ON the roundabout which consists of 2 lanes. The right lane is for turning right and straight ahead to motorway slip road. The left lane is STRAIGHT ON ONLY. Every day i use this roundabout and see people have near misses because of other users in the wrong (left) lane cutting across traffic. This evening i had two different people cut me up from the left lane and without indicating! It might not sound that bad but it happens ALOT and is an accident waiting to happen, causing huge inconvience only because of people not paying attention. Please dont crash into me when im on my way to work, it'l be very annoying and expensive for me.

    Thank you.
