  1. PES where have you been? You being the most articulate and intelligent Pompey fan and a sense of humour to boot, were nearly missed.

Thanks Nick! as for my absence, Pompey were having a Sh*t time of it so I disappeared for a few weeks so as to avoid flak from the saints massive. Now that things are looking up........er, Actually on reflection, sod it Nick, i'm offski i'll be back once (if) a new sugar daddy is found to maintain our league superiority over those less fortunate than us. ;)

  2. :(

yes you do but it nearly was not coated that time.Your guard had slipped PES

I'm not on my Guard Nick, If I can rip the p*ss out of you lot I will, it's just I'll do it with Style and Panache! Besides, I'm sure you'll 'get some in' after we exit the cup tonight to Chelsea. I'm going but I really don't want too (I cant be bothered, I know for a fact we'll lose). :(

  3. .....There was much rejoicing on this board. What happened to the world beaters that Stu and co. heralded? To be honest, I rightly felt at the time it was a knee jerk over the top reaction to what was a result against a team which had not won for over a year, your fans, desperate for something positive jumped on one performance and went, im sure you'll admit completely OTT.

However, (now i've got my snide remarks out the way!) Looking on the main board the reaction again is equally silly, I really believe if the fans show patience you could by the end of the season have a young side, ready to compete for the playoffs next year. Also you will have the immense satisfaction of watching your side develop, evolve and improve. Isn't that what all real fans of football want? I'd love to see more of that at Pompey, rather than our constant trading in mercenaries.

Sadly i'm sure that many (not all) of those who so quickly spunked their pants over one Saints performance are the first now to impatiently scream for the head of all and sundry and calling for yet more damaging changes to the Saints set up and management. It's madness, your all f****** ill in the head. ;):)

  4. Surely it's equally as bad as that? At least we scored.

And we were playing a team who were clearly a lot better than us. Man City are supposed to be your equals.

    Obviously not any more! :)

  5. Returned from Canada this morning. Went to bed with the intention of staying away from the result. I've just watched it on Football First. I feel ill and very disappointed with the hammering, Pompey were woeful. To cap it all off I have to return to work tomorrow after a week off, which you'll be pleased to know has left me feeling thoroughly miserable.

Sh*t does happen and we move on. We'll get it back on track against Spurs. :(

  6. If you've ever seen Miami Ink, I really like the fantastic Portrait style tattoo's in plain black inks, like a pencil drawing. Anyway, how about a portrait style tattoo of the late, great Ted bates? If you got it on your forearm it'd look fab.

  7. I recomend this one. Although I did once meet a chap who wasn't a Saints fan, but a Simon Templer mad chef who had it.

Very Nice, but the stick man looks a bit Gay, which is fine if your into that kinda thing? The 'Saint' logo also looks a bit "I'm a little teapot" dontcha think? :D

  8. Actually they do give a hsit . pompey had to sign a declaration that the father wasnt the owner, which they did. As i said im sure you will wriggle out of it and celebrate each goal as another one of gaymarks bombs kills another family.

Gemmel, I think thats a bit cheap, but if there is some merit in what you say, it looks like we are soon to have new investors so no more moral dilema. :)

  9. Arcadi Gaydamak lists Pompey as one of his assets, values us at £300m, says the new ground will be built in conjunction with Dubai Royal Family and that it will be in new hands before completion. This sounds entirely different from the People's made up story,

LOL Eyes! I value my house at 150K but no one's gonna buy it at that price! I think Gaydamak senior is having a laugh with that one! IMO 100M tops! :)

  10. Who gives a toss? Pimpley are on the way down again and I'm sure any investor will note the pitfalls.

I hope your right TG, however I dont agree with the on the way down bit, were building nicely and I'm really excited at the thought of bringing on some of our own players (Gary O'neill accepted) for the first time in about 15 years! Apart from the prices I'm fairly happy with the way things are going. :)

  11. Nice one Stu.

I cant get my mind around the fact that Pompey are the best they have been for decades and the feel good factor and they still dont sell out.

PES I do hope you are having a great time

Thanks Nick, I'm driving my elderly father around so it's not 'All excitement' however it is nice to spend some time with him, he cant walk very far and when he does it's at a snails pace, but he's really enjoying it. Later were driving off to Whistler and then onto the Rockies, I got a free upgrade to a luxury Volvo, leather seats the works, fantastic, what cruel twist of fate destined me to drive a Renault Clio back home, lifes so unfair....... ;):D

  12. I have some observations.

    1) Premier League and you still have over 1000 seats left empty. And yes, they were Pompeys, Boro had a smaller allocation, but filled it.

    2) You still have more than 5,000 almost half price tickets left for your first ever European game in history.

    3) Your next 3 home games are all on general sale now.

P*mpey = Wigan of the South

Hi Stu, Thanks for using one of your three posts to raise some valid Pompey points. It's only right I take the time to answer.

    1) I am in Vancouver, it's a lovely city however since ive been here I've seen at least 100 people in Pompey tops, Pompey are massive out here, I'm guessing like me many of the missing 1000 are on holiday.

    2) I did my bit, I excitedly bought tickets for me and my wife only to remember I was on holiday still. I'm sure my wifes Mum will enjoy the game. I reckon there will be 17,500 for this game, which if your fair Stu for a club of Pompey's size is not a bad turn out to a 6pm kick off that is being shown live on sky.

    3) Yes the tickets are on general sale so you wont have a problem buying one, if you need help getting a ticket for one of the more attractive matches, send me a PM mate, as a season ticket holder i'll see what I can do for you. I can't promise anything mind.

Please don't say Pompey = Wigan of the South TM NickH, it gets him all excited when his fellow Saints pick up on it. :)

  13. When I first listened to Because of the Times by KOL, I was disappointed with it after Youth and Young Manhood, as their style seems to have changed a lot. But with each listen I discovered more textures and feel to each of the songs, and now I can honestly say that imo it's one of the best albums of the last decade.

I'm seeing Kings Of Leon at the BIC in December, I cant wait! :)
