Just checked, Bazunu has played one more game than McCarthy last season, has made less saves than him both overall and per game and has a save percentage of 53.5% of shots on target - McCarthy's was 63%.
Bazunu has the second worst save percentage out of all goalkeepers, only Bournemouth's second choice keeper is worse, and nobody but those two have less than a 64% save rate.
Speaks volumes.

It won't happen but I still think a decent keeper should be high on our list of priorities. A quick glance at our available choices should make that glaringly obvious.

Yes, sensible approach given the model.
Jason Wilcox would be a great appointment, he is very highly regarded and well versed in this from the CFG.
If Jason Wilcox is so highly regarded I'm struggling to see why he would leave Man City to join us. If we offer more money surely City would just match anything we put on the table. Maybe I'm missing something.

Appears promising on there, although doubt some of his free kicks will creep in against GK in England as they did there.
Look forward to seeing him play, expecting some fireworks and dramatics along the way though.
I expect Adam Blackmore is at home practicing : " goooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllll ... !
Don't think he'll be on free kicks with JWP and Orsic around.

liked him before, like him more now. Hope we plan for the beto plan.
Beto looks perfect for us. A big powerful centre forward who looks quick and has good skill. He's strong in the air and scores plenty of goals. Hope we get him.

Another Prem club on their way out of the cup. Cardiff 2-0 Leeds after 31 mins
Looking at their starting line up this game is very low on their list of priorities.

Don't care if he was lucky. He did what he was brought into do and was an undeniable success. Probably shouldn't have been given a contract at the end of the season though.
That's the point though - he got lucky and was rewarded with a contract. Had we played well and escaped the drop then fair enough but we didn't.

Rumours starting to circulate Everton to get rid of Lampard before our game
New manager bounce - not that they'll need it because they nearly always beat us at their place.

Hughes was a great appointment. Came in, kept us up and was sacked shortly afterwards without much damage done. Exactly what we could do with now.
Hughes got lucky. He didn't do much at all but his ass was saved by the fact that Swansea pissed away their chance of survival.

It's hard to tell. Here you go:
No sign of any animosity there. In the first pace Adams is smiling before the clip unfolds. To me it looks as though he is congratulating Jones who looks a bit sheepish to receive positive feed back.

I think the decision was that he had 'come back from an offside position', so benefitted from having been offside.
Either way it is a complete farce that the Wolves goal was chalked off yer Salah's is given. Wolves won that match fair and square and nobody will convince me otherwise

He had the scan the night of the game. I know someone who was with him.
So either your source or Nathan Jones is telling porkies then.

In response to the question 'why did Ankersen select Jones' the answer is because he's not nearly as smart as he thinks he is.

Few fans have mentioned getting another goalkeeper.
Ralph insisted on keeping McCarthy as first choice for an age before he used FF, but now we have just Bazunu and Willie C
to choose from. McCarthy is injured and will go ..sooner or later, and although I think Willie would be a valuable asset to keep
- on the coaching side - longer term we still need another name to give us some choice .... in the worst case scenario.
If we are serious about staying up we need to buy a decent keeper. Bazunu is too young and is costing us points and making the defence nervous.

Can't see Wolves going down - they have some very good players from what I saw tonight against Liverpool.

Better today with 4 at the back and the more organised press...and whatever Adam Armstrong had at half time, can he please not be so greedy and share it with the rest of the players! But I think AA's goal was still the only shot we had on target in open play, so there's a long way to go.
But the half time penalty shootout was top comedy and worth the admission price alone. When the 11/12 year old Palace goalie,, Alfie gave it large to the Saints fans after saving a dribbler from our six year old striker that barely got to the line, the chorus of 'you fat bastard' from thousands of Saints fans was one of the few times the chant was fairly appropriate!

Until we get midfield players that look to pass forward as a first option then I’m afraid we will be forced to be direct. First half we went long as no midfield player was brave enough to pop off quickly to receive and look to take on the turn. Unfortunately the story of the last couple of years and a main part of the problems we have imo
Exactly this. We never seem to have any of those clever players who drift into space to receive passes. Our players seem to position themselves with an opponent between them and the team mate with the ball.

Didn't expect us to beat Palace so credit where it's due. Winning in the cup is a confidence booster but it's the league games that really matter now. Here's hoping we take something from Everton next week, we're certainly due a result there. Hopefully Orsic will play plus any other new signings

Yeah, strange the effect new owners with billions of cash to splash can make leading to them playing good football and winning lots of games. Or were they the same when they didn't have a pot to piss in and Bruce was their boss? Don't think they were so happy clappy then if I remember.
