  1. If I remember correctly your fans booed the team when Saints beat them at Loftus Road earlier in the season under Hughes, which was the worst Premier League performance I've seen from a team since Sunderland turned up at St Mary's and sleepwalked their way to relegation in 2003. They don't seem to have improved one bit under Redknapp despite him chucking £40m at it.

Lucky for you the parachute payments are through the roof now and you'll have a couple of seasons to chase the rebound and keep the players who want to do so - instead of immediately having to cull everything. I can only imagine that's why Redknapp's decided to stay on. Or maybe he still gets a cut of transfers and knows there's a few quid to be had there.

The player quit and didnt even try that day, they wanted Hughes gone but theres been zero turnaround since which is why it was such a shock to see that win at SMS.

Harry will stay on until he gets the right offer from a PL team or he might resign if were not in the top 6 after 10 matches. I think hughes was the one who had a cut of the transfers. At least we can get our money back on Remy and Samba if we need too. We wont get anything from Hughes transfers. A free is the best we can hope for.

  2. Hes said the current squad wouldnt finish in the top half, hes convinced me not to renew.

Its got to the point where the fans are booing the players, for the 1st time ever I booed during the game because Bosingwa had given 2 goals away and didnt care. It worked because arry took him off because he said the crowd wanted it.

The club is in no danger though, massive training ground has just got planning permission and a new 40k ish stadium should be announced soon. He said he wanted to follow the German model of having cheap tickets and selling more merchandise.

  3. Wigan need a win, this is their win or bust game. The pressure may be too much.

A draw or defeat and it's curtains for them. IMO.

They still have villa at home, norwich have WBA and Citeh so could easily not get another point.

Saints will be ok if they are above newcastle and/or norwich after the w/e fixtures.

You really dont want it to go down to the last game and the last minute like I did last season. I think saints are 90% safe at the moment. Im hoping its Norwich who go down.

  4. Most of it was Hughes fault, Redknapp couldnt correct the slide but the dressing room is totally split.

Hes staying but I see him resigning a couple of months into the season when were not in the top 6. I personally dont want him to stay but we cant sack him.

Still the training ground and cat 1 academy has been approved (dont want to get MLG going) and a stadium announcement is due soon. Its going to be a tough couple of years but the future is bright.

  5. Where's Flyer when you need him.....?

We paid 4m euros for him so Saints could get him for an ok fee, nothing like £6m.

Hes ok but not suited to the PL, Hes physically too slow and holds onto the ball to long and constantly gets caught in possession. Hes been out of the team for a while too and just came back to play the last game.

No tears would be shed if he left. Hes suited to a better team that has a lot of possession and time on the ball than to a non top six team that will get closed down quickly.

Ok player but not suited to Saints.

  6. Really their owner has a worth of about £300 Million and thats personal wealth, carry on.

3 people share 66% of the club, they are worth about a billion combined. If they leave, Mittal owns the other third and hes worth many, many billions. Theres only trouble if all of them leave.

  7. Who said QPR's way was wise, its brave and their owner has the money to cover it but if he goes?

Mittal will step in and he is Britains richest man, he already tried to buy the club before.

As for going down, the loser of the Villa QPR game, Reading and one other, it could even be Sunderland who have one point in 6 games. If you take the table from when Harry took over, QPR would be in 9th place in the league so he has done a great job and should have won by more on Saturday, we can do it but not if we lose at Villa.

  8. Looked like it was going to be a 3 or 4 nil win after 20 mins. It would have been an easy win if saints had got a goal then

We got our goal out of nothing and then the crowd were silent for the rest of the game bar the minute after the goal. not a relegation 6 pointer atmosphere at all.

Samba was MOTM for me, he had Lambert in his pocket all game.

  9. The last of those games was played nearly 3 years a go. Why does that record have any bearing on the game this season? Before this season Spurs had lost 5 out 5 games at SMS scoring 0 goals in the process.

How are those "well thought through" signings from last summer getting on by the way?

Cesar is doing great, hes now been recalled to Brazil and is now their captain. Mbia is a rock in CM. Wed have been down without Nelsen. The only bad one was Bosingwa and he was a free. The manager was the problem and not the players and this was proved by Redknapp getting 3x points per game as Hughes before he signed anyone.

I could say the same about the likes of the Saints summer signings. Clyne is the only decent one and Saints wasted a massive amount of money on average players.

As for Brentford, no one really cares about them, they are like Bournemouth are to Saints.

  10. Very dull this year. QPR are just signing anyone and everyone, want them to go down even more now.

Who? The only signing today has been Samba and believe it or not, he took a massive wage cut and our wages are less than they were 4 weeks ago with 5 players out and 3 in. Im sure that will change in the next 3.5 hours.

  11. £12.5m for Samba is amazing. Our entire back 4 plus goalkeeper come to less than that!

Samba or Ramires, I know who 99% of Saints fans would have wanted in the summer. The £12.5m is based on what Anzhi paid for him, not what QPR paid.

I love the fact that people are saying they are hasbeens, a 22yo, a 26yo and a 28yo so far.

  12. If you think that you couldn't have named an outfield player on the bench then you're a tool. Harry is just doing his standard 'the players are ****, everyone feel sorry for me, chairman I need more players'

There was a reserve match in the afternoon and you cant expect one of them to be called up.

The only other player available was Cerny and hes another goalie. Saints have 6 more players in their squad.

  13. You need about 1.5 points a game. Kinda like Liverpool have got now.

Fair play, they're not top six.

    They're seventh.

No we need to get 2 wins more than the others and are you suggesting 17th place will only be 2 wins worse off than the top 6?

  14. QPR closed the gap on 17th while playing Chelsea, Spurs, WHU and Man City. Not bad.

Rumours are Samba, Crouch, Rolando, Capoue are coming. As for the bloated squad, Harry had to name 2 keepers on the bench after one of the players relatives died today and he pulled out.

We dont need top 6 form, we need 2 more wins than the teams above us.

  15. Well, maybe a bit weaker up front.... But behind that not second choice.

    • 01 Green
    • 03 Traore
    • 05 Ferdinand
    • 20 Fabio Booked
    • 21 Ben-Haim
    • 07 Park Ji-sung (Zamora - 67' )
    • 14 Granero
    • 32 Faurlin Booked
    • 12 Mackie
    • 37 Bothroyd
    • 39 Campbell

    Previous game

    Júlio César 33

    Nedum Onuoha 15

    Ryan Nelsen 17

    Fabio 20

    Stéphane M'Bia 40

    Shaun Derry 4

    Clint Hill 6

    Adel Taarabt 10

    Jamie Mackie 12

    Shaun Wright-Phillips 11

    Loïc Remy 18

So 9 of the 11 were reserves but they were all **** and it was still embarrassing. At least it will mean a few will never play again.

  16. Mental decision, Cortese is a power mad nutter just like Briatore was.

Adkins had the team playing as one and above their level. Saints are in real trouble if it doesnt click with this new guy. eg think Hughes at QPR.

  17. seriously can't see us pulling that loan off why would choose to come here?

I dont know but Id have said the same about Cesar or Granero. Micah Richards has also been to the last 2 games as well.

  18. I Agree its a dangerous game to write qpr off we will look stupid the amount of people on here who've said no chance if saggy face leads them to safety

Everyone wrote us off when we have Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Man City to play at the end of last season, we won 3 and would have drawn the 4th if the news that we were safe didnt come in.

As for falling out, Harry loves Taarabt but Cisse is gone this window. If you want a laugh, Sky are saying were going to get Robinho on loan.

  19. I think its a bad result for Saints in more than one way. Obviously you didnt want QPR to get 3 points but Chelsea put out a very weak team thinking they would still win.

Now theres a much bigger chance they will play a stronger side when you play them.

Someone pointed out we play Spurs and City this month but we beat Spurs last year and after than something like 12 of the next 13 are against Villa, Stoke, Wigan Saints, Reading etc and the only big team played is Man U at home.

  20. all your other world class signings..you know, the ones we never got as we got it all wrong...they will do the business for you..im sure

We both got it wrong, Saints not strengthening the positions needed and spunking the money on a player you didnt need and QPR getting in too many old players. We will see what happens next month and ultimately the end of the season. Our biggest problem was Hughes, it took Harry 4 games to better Hughes points total in 13 or 14 games.
