  1. ...with everyone's eyes on the latest news and the vultures circling... clubs like Swansea (Dyer), Notts Forest (McG) or Newcastle (Surman ) are looking to pick up bargains by offering crumbs to a starving man.

It appears that Pinnacle are on the way to tying up the loose ends to a deal and so we should stand our ground until our new owners come in with real backing and we don't need to panic sell right now, and later we can bargain from a position of strength - with new funds available.

As I understand it, no deals are valid until July 1st anyway, so why the panic, we've come this far ..a couple more weeks won't make the difference now. I don't care WHO it is .. If they want to go, and to further their careers elsewhere......OK so be it. Thanks and goodbye !

They decide their own future, but we mustn't allow ourselves to be bamboozled out of a genuine fee and a deal with sell-on clauses is a must for everyone..or see McG moving on to a prem club is 3 years for many millions more than we sell him for.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Like thats ever gonna happen.

  2. I take it you will be attanding again after your long anti Burley/Lowe stance

How could I ever stand shoulder to shoulder with such fantastic uber fans such as yourself, it just wouldn't be right would it?

I tell you what warwick, i'll support saints in the manner I see fit, and you do the same, everyones happy!.

  3. Thankyou for making the sacrifice and killing off the Lowe regime. You are the reason that Lowe and Wilde are no longer at the club. You are the reason that we don't have to endure life in League 1 with Lowe and Wilde still at the club. You are the reason that Saints are now on the verge of single ownership, and that the PLC is dead. You are the reason that Saints now have a future and that the feelgood factor is returning.

Thankyou for making it happen, you saved SFC.

Thanks Stanley, I feel vindicated. Somebody had to take a stand.

  4. I, myself don't feel that Wotte should be manager next season, but, I would like to see him stay on at the club. Maybe he could head up youth development, with his expirience with the Dutch U21's he could take them forward, what you lot think?

I would be more than happy to see Wotte stay on in a youth development role, but first team coach/manager..........not on your nelly.

  5. We will go back up easliy in the next 2-3 seasons. Next season will be tough and our finishing position will be depend on the minus points or not, which will be the difference between automatic and play offs, imho. If it doesn't happen next year it will in either of the following two seasons. When we get promoted I will remind you of this thread.

Stand by for a MASSIVE dissapointment. I believe we will struggle to overcome the points deduction and so will be on the back foot all season. There is no winning mentality at Southampton FC so I dont expect anything to change. Add to that the FACT that Wotte is friggin clueless, and we have all the ingredients of another fukkin disaster. League 2 = very very real prospect

  6. i was using this post to reply to another thread, but went off on a tangent so might as well make it a thread of it's own.

    The players...

Nobody is moaning about players getting paid lots. Lucky them, i work in sales, if i am good, i get lots of money, if i am bad, i get paid f*ck all, if only the same was said of our football players, the wage bill would have been zero for the last couple of years.

However, not one of the has lead by example and put a penny in, to be honest, i am pretty p*ssed off that kelvin davies and jason euell tried to lie and say they had deffered wages..... Why did they do that?

I feel sorry for all the effort the saints trust went to just to pay for wayne thomas' wages for a week, i feel embarrassed for goodies fish and chip shop who worked their arses off for free to pay for bradley wright-phillips weekly wage.

F*ck the players, the sh!te they have served up all season, for not a single one of them to stand up and say " hey, i am willing to give a weeks wage, even a days wage to the cause "

f*ck them, f*ck the lot of them, i hope we start with a completely new team next season, they can all f*ck off as far as i am concerned, and that includes kelvin davies.

I don't give a f*ck how much they earn, just a days wage would have been enough, just to lead the way, but they don't care, they will get paid that for some other team.

Surman..... Supposedly a saints fan, not put a penny into the pot, yet other saints fans are having the guilt trip put on them..... Just goes to show, people can kiss the badge all they want, they can say how much they love the club, the fact is that matthew le tissier is the last saints player to ever 'not' put his money where his mouth is and stay here for the love.

I don't blame players for moving on, it's a job, i wouldn't lose a weeks wage for the company i work for if they went into administration, i would find a new job.... The same as most footballers would do.

What i would not do is lie to the public and try to suggest i did, nor would i claim how much i love southampton fc blah blah f*cking blah.

B*llocks to them, b*llocks to them all.

    time of the month?

  7. Greeting from the middle of nowhere my old shipwrecks..

what the hell has been going on.. I go away and we were playing well enough (for this seasons standards) and get the latest and we are in league 1 with adim etc

can someone run down briefly what has happened and whay will happen...

do not have the capacity to sit and look through all the threads at this time

    regard

    TDD

Cant be arsed to dig it out, but as I recall before you left you made a little prediction....................care to explain what went wrong?????

  8. I think Coppell is the perfect choice, he has a track record at this level and with small budgets. With Southampton he has a blank canvass to set up what he wants and a club that is bigger than Reading and Palace so should be able to survive more easily in the top flight.

He has mentioned his win ratio recently and said it would have been better but for the cash strapped clubs he has worked in, is this an indication that he doesn't want that again or does moving a struggling on still tick his boxes. If it does any new buyer should do everything possible to get him.

    LOL !!!! Priceless!!!!!!!!

That is a facking ridiculous statement!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

  9. Unless you want to be completely depressed. Fry "hopeful" deal will be done in next 24 hours"....."hopes to align himself with potential purchaser"..."there are some late expressions of interest"....

Bottom line is that there is a "decisive" meeting with Pinnacle today. Hopefully one of the first questions is how a company with net assets of £4 got past the reception. They're normally more selective on the occcasions I've been up to a corporate box.

Jackson rates a mention as his initial "offer" was below expectations and not been acknowledged by the administrator. In other words, f*** off you bull sh !ting salad dodger....

    Lads, we're screwed....

    You miserable b@stard!

Suggestion: connect a hosepipe to your exhaust, run it through the drivers window, switch on ignition, and do us all a favour. Failing that, do an 'Iccarus' off the Spinnaker Tower.

  10. Fair play to Wotte, looks like he is working hard towards next season already.

He's desperatly trying to save his job:rolleyes:. No thanks wotte, you are part of the problem. Clean sweep please. English no nonsence, passionate manager, dont care who.

  11. I have met Wotte and he came across as very professional with the best interests of the team/club at heart.I think he could do a good job given the right circumstances.

If the new owners want a fresh start then I think Dennis Wise is worth a look given what he did with Leeds before he left for Newcastle. He does have a connection with Saints too.

I've never been a fan of Wise, on or off the pitch, but I reckon he'll have a point to prove for many reasons.

Dennis Wise is a C**t. No thanks.

  12. You mean "spending money you haven't got" - isn't that the whole reason we are in this mess? You are mad.

While I agree with the logic in this post, I cannot forget the old saying 'You have to speculate to accululate'

Its a shame Mr Strachan wasn't allowed to 'speculate' after the 2003 FA Cup final................................
