  1. For me there's one candidate that ticks all the boxes and that's Tommy Widdrington

Obviously has great connections with the club and a rapport with the fans, money can't buy that sometimes.

Has a fair bit of managerial experience now, admittedly at a lower level.

Look what Eddie Howe has achieved up the road, you'd never have thought that 3 years ago.

  2. As I've said before on here, my favourite season watching Saints was the league one promotion season. The grounds visited the people I met. The team that year felt like it had a connection with the fans, we were on a journey.

I have never and will never get a Sky or BT sports subscription, billionaires sucking every penny they can out of the average man by playing on their loyalty and emotion. it sucks big time and I want no part in it.

One day the whole thing will come crashing down, and we'll get our football clubs back.

    Maybe.

  3. Nice to see that the videos and player promos have actually got the sponsor physically on the shirt this year, as opposed to the smoke and mirrors, editing and photoshop they had to use as there wasn't a sponsor last summer... and I bet we actually have the shorts pictured as opposed to a completely different style from those in some of the photos as was the case with the away and GK kits last season.

Can you describe to me how you feel right now? Regrading the kit obviously

  4. I read with interest earlier that the poster "Grey crab" was championing the merits of a certain Tommy Widdrington to be the next manager. I find it astonishing that there has been little or no support on this forum for the idea.

This is a man who bleeds not just red, but white too and has played at the highest level. let's get this man in and push on to the next level ASAP .

  5. When will people realise that we'll only attract 50,000 crowds when we have a 50,000 seater stadium. Given the money we've spent and the ambition we have, I feel attending a 32k stadium is beneath me. I shall therefore be watching this in the pub until someone pulls their finger out and starts constructing something.

When it's ready Nicola, give me a bell.

  6. I once bought a Yorkie bar at half time, can't remember the game. It was ok, but not as good as the one I bought in Asda Chandlers Ford. When I next visited the ground I asked about the difference in Yorkie quality, and apparently it was down to promises about storage that were not kept.

  7. Unlike this one...

Every club has it's fair share of bellends.

I'm sure if you leave it long enough someone will come along to ruin the thread on that Pompey site. They will then feel embarrassed that it couldn't just be discussed without someone resorting to childish insults, just as we all feel embarrased to have View from the top post on here.
