  1. Stayed off here deliberately for a few hours to calm down as I might have vented my spleen.

Complete and utter disgrace. As others I skim read on the way down comment, we don;t seem to have a game plan. In the words of Alan Sugar on the other side: "so what's your bleedin' strategy? Just hope it works out?" I honestly don't know if we were playing for a nil nil, or hoping to nick it at the end. Absolutely hopeless. Only VVD seems capable. We need to clone him and play him in goal, defense, midfield and attack. Repetitious balls out wide to Bertrand and Cedric, they cross it aimlessly to our front three - 5'4", 5'6" and 5'7" - do we seriously think they are going to get headers in? Park football.

If this was a card game, I'd throw my hand in, miss a turn and start again.

And how much more of this tippy tappy tikka takka possession football can we take? I don;t care we have 70% possession if we only make 2 attempts on goal all game. Fonte will want out, another dozen should be shipped out. Honestly we could be relegated yet this season. Something has to change - the players or tactics. That was like warm beer tonight. Worst I have seen in my 50 years, seriously.

Worst game in fifty years? Do you remember 2009? Maybe should have taken a few more hours before posting.

  2. No they don't. It's now blindingly obvious we don't have the squad depth and when I say depth, I mean depth in quality, not just quantity.

3, 4 or 5 players in January would really help with both keeping us where we are in the league and a run in the FA Cup. We haven't become a bad team over night, but without our first 11 firing on all cylinders, we are short on quality to bring on to make a difference.

first sensible post I have read

  3. Meh, it's one year and nobody forces you to buy them.

Bizzare comment. Fans pay their hard earned cash for these shirts and expect quality to reflect the price. How long the strip will be 'current' for is largely irrelevant.

  4. I go to all matches but I left at 3-0. I was tired, cold and hungover. New Year's Day fixtures are always a subdued home atmosphere as most people are recovering from the night before.

This. I stayed till the end, but had little energy to raise my voice throughout the entire match.

  5. Much, much better in the final 3rd so far.

Next half is a big test as that half would have taken alot of energy from already tired players.

Great response after going behind, could have collapsed

You do know these players train full time and have a professional level of fitness yeah? It sounds like you are describing a conference south team.
