Hmm, we sold Fitz Hall Palace and he came back and scored against Saints in that same season. Its a given that Puncheon will score the winner against Saints. Don't see why we couldn't make it a permanent deal in the summer.

Ok Art, I'll give the suggestions a go and have a look at the forum links.
Cheers, will let you know how I get on!

The skates are using the system though. Wonder where are the complaints from the jobseekers?

Rose and Johnson are the kind of players that always do well against us.
No doubt Danny Graham will also break his Sunderland goal duck against us
For sure, I will stick a tenner on him to eb first goal scorer.

What have Liverpool got to do with it? We've been told on here that if we scored first it would be a rout as we are far better man for man. Lots of predictions of high margin wins for Saints against this dreadful team with a crap manager and a pub player up front. I'm just wondering why it didn't pan out like that. It should have been easy.
Whose told you this? Surely it was just a handful of people's opinions thinking Saints would win by a margin and getting a little carried away with the moment? No need to lump the whole forum into it.
Better ways to put across your point than being super sarcastic. Even though I was like yourself and thought that this game wouldn't be easy.

They never usually show the matches that was live on sky/espn as their main match and with only 4 matches today its really just a one in 3 chance.
Um not quite true, they do it quite frequently. I presume its because we're not a Liverpool or Manchester club which is understandable but I would have thought they'd have been quite a bit of interest in the match.

were staying in Midtown and me misses wont let me stray too far to watch the game. Too much planned for the four days. Saying that we will be in Brooklyn sometime (the Bridge walk), so it might be sat morning
Booked tickets for the NY Rangers on monday evening at Madison Sq Garden. Interested to see how the yanks do sport; mostly popcorn & hot dogs i guess?
Quality of food will range from rubbish to good and so will the pricing!

Haha yeah, I think like most things, it's about balance.
I guess we have got ours just right, seeing as one of our games is amongst the most played and highest grossing in the world at the moment.
With ours you are given options (for example, when you reach a stage where you are asked to pay to unlock the next set of levels, you can alternatively invite friends on Facebook to help you).
In fact with our games, it is always possibly to complete games (which can be over 300 levels) without paying a single penny. Most who do complete, actually do so without paying.
So basically, it's about balance.
I don't have a problem with games that let you complete them without paying but the option is there however there are some which make it very difficult or mind numbingly boring doing so the normal way.
Thats why I mentioned Real Racing!
Other examples are Capcom's Street Fighter X Tekken where the DLC was already on the game disc (as the game was hacked by some clever folks) but Capcom still classed it as DLC and charged for it. In this instance I didn't buy the game until it was available at a knock down price but have decided not to buy the DLC out of choice.
I guess the sad thing is that the model must work successfully enough for companies to continue to do this.

I'm also there over easter. Will keep an eye out for a Shearer in a Saints shirt on the saturday. Probably a few Blues around. The match starts at 11:00.
Anyone any tips on bars/pubs with live music?
Where abouts are you staying? I'm tempted to go to Brooklyn. Had a look out on Time Out:
http://www.timeout.com/newyork/bars/10-best-sports-bars
Which is usually a good source for places to go and see in various cities. Also have found out that an old school friend is currently working in NYC so will hassle them for some tips.

We're off there on Tuesday for a week. Missing no Saints games. You need to plan your trips better!
Ha, work didn't confirm till this month. I've actually managed to miss all of saints wins at home.

Thought I'd bring this up as online passes were the beginning as now we have in game microtransactions happening.
This is the case of the new Dead Space (although its not neccessary).
Personally I think this would be the last straw for me and keep the 360. I'm not a fan of games where it costs little but then you pay a lot through out the game. This is especially the case in mobile games. Real racing anyone??
-
Bump.
Well actually I'm going there with work soon and was wondering if anymore has any more suggestions? I'll have a weekend free. So was thinking of finding a sports bar on the day Saints play chelsea. Any recommendations?

You don't need to quote anyone when you can just use the line, “I've been told" or “people on here have said.... " to back up your point of view.

Poor old CEX my heart bleeds ....not as if theyll sell it for more is it?
CEX will take any opportunity to rip people off and you'd be silly to buy anything from them. You may find a good deal or two but that's about it.
Nice one Jeff for selling now as they'll likely to drop their cash offer as soon as they get a sniff that people can buy the phone again.
Coincidentally I've just ordered the 16gb one myself!

This thread is golden.
All Frank has done is make up some categories that people can align themselves too. However it seems like it's upset some more than others.
All this on just a simple forum.
Myself, I am Southampton.

On the basis of this performance alone, this was another 2 home points dropped. I dont see the relevance of who we were playing, the opposition were worse than us today, so we should have grasped the opportunity.
But great how the defence has improved. Worried about it being unravelled by a bid for Shaw though.
You don't see the relevance of who we were playing? Funny that is the exact opposite of your usual take on matches when team A (Saints) take on team B who are deemed worse than Saints.
What's the difference today my friend?
In all a decent result and a shame we didn't get anything more than a draw considering saints restricted Arsenal quite a bit.

Mr TF has pleurisy / diptheria / pneumonia - oh hang on........ no he's got a sore throat.
Don't do the NYE stuff at all but it would be nice to sit here without listening to the groaning and spluttering.
I'm not a good nurse
This, I had a sore throat Thursday, which led to a fever and cough and now have a full blown cold.
Haven't stopped sneezing for two days now. So NYE, I shall be asleep hopefully.

Not seem many posts commenting on it, most people are just slagging off Fergie. Yes, he was a bit over the top, I said as much in my OP on this thread. I expect most managers would react angrily in similar circumstances. Would you?
Of course, most people would have reacted strongly to the incident. As would have I but I don't I would have said that was a life killer moment.
The crux will be if he goes over the incident in detail and then says whether he was over the top or not.
If it was a Utd player doing the same to a Swansea player what would have been the outcome? Fergie along with plenty of other managers have got form for ignoring or down playing incidents when it's their team involved.
-
More entertainment in the half time show than the entire game. Although it was a terrible miss. Should have just toe punted top right!
Can't tell if T & K are being serious or not but hey ho.
-
Yeah you're right, we should all just ignore the incident and slag off Ferige. What a *****!! How dare he be angry one of his players could have been seriously injured by a ball being smashed at their head!
Hmm, no one is ignoring the incident by the looks of it but it is a complete overreaction from Ferguson.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2240037/Roy-Hodgson-admits-hell-settle-World-Cup-qualifying-play-place.html
This bloke has as much drive and ambition as Graeme Taylor.
Any manager willing to accept the playoffs for England needs to be dismissed.
Agree with your sentiments regarding that England should be looking to win every match and winning the group but can not take you seriously, considering you wanted Saints to settle for league 1 play-offs when they had a bit of a wobble a couple of years ago!

Sounds like you laid a number of floaters there Johnny.
a) Christan Grey would never let his b!tch buy the drinks. It's emasculating, she's sposed to feel in your debt and you're sposed to be in charge of how much alcohol and roofies she is consuming
2) It sounds like you let her do entirely too much talking. B!tches will talk all night if you let them. You should be openly yawning, looking at your watch, criticising her grammars until you're finally dominating the conversation talking entirely bout how great you are.
d) Did you even remember to make her think her friends want to bone you?
iii) Her Inner Goddess is strong. It must be if she read all 3 books. There is really no excuse for not getting some, I wonder if perhaps you done something dumb like saying "Do you fancy coming back to mine?". Never ask yes/no questions like that! You should be teaching her to follow simple instructions, "Drink this," rather than "Do you want a drink?", "Get in," rather than "Do you want a lift home?". I've got 100% success rate with my new line for getting phone numbers since reading 50 Shades, I just have my phone out and I'm like, "What is your number." I used to be like "Can I get your number?" but that gives them opportunity to make a simple "No." It is a matter of finest distinction.
It is not too late to save the situation. Turn up at her place of work. Buy curtain pole and lube. If she asks how you found her a simple manly "I tracked ur phone" is best.
Thanks Bearsy, I will try this tactic.
You say I shouldn't let the b!atchs buy the drinks but it does save money...........however that is a sign of things to come in books 2 and 3 of the Shades series..............

Bearsy, I took a girl out the other week.
We went to a lounge bar unlike Saint Garrett who ended up in Platform Tavern having drinks with his 'friend', who happened to be a girl.
Anyhows, she got the drinks in and topic got round to 50 Shades of Grey. She has read the triology whereas I have read your review of the first book, she liked my re-telling of the story because I asked her if she thought Anastasia was a porker and she had to think for awhile before admitting that she Anastasia was most likely one.
This girl mentioned she read her book whilst on holiday and that was the norm. Firstly if you're going on holiday why the f**k waste it by sitting on a beach and reading a book. It may be a dirty book, but its still a book. Anyway I said the only good thing was Grey getting his GIGGIDY on and girls loving all that. She agreed, however she then told me what happens in books 2 and 3. I wasn't pleased at all.
I don't want to spoil it for you so won't say much but FFS and she didn't even mention any bumming. I'm thinking do I want to see this girl again? She did buy some drinks but there was no happy ending on the first date.
What should I do?

Shows that the skates have not been punished severly enough. Exactly the sort of reason why I want them to go bust rather than linger around the lower leagues.
