I would like to see a Christmas tree formation, making the most of our midfield talent.
Boruc
Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw
Cork Wanyama Morgan
Ramirez Lallana
Lambert/Osvaldo
Doubt it would happen, but i would like to see the interchange between Ramirez and Lallana in attacking positions..

Mine are very random, this is from when we first went down.
Patrick Ageymang
Jamal Campbell-Ryce
Andy Reid
James Coppinger
Chris Burke and always really rated the Palace goalkeeper.
None these appear to have ever been any good.

Surely the Luke Shaw one should be to the clash, hey jude variations are sang at every football ground!
He fought the Shaw and the Shaw won!
-
Fix up Luke Shaw!
Surely just a simple edit on this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C93IVa_csYI
Shaw, Shaw will tear you apart again.....Shaw, Shaw will tear you apart again

A lot of your formations are far too attacking. You can't have Gaston and Lallana in a team as neither track back enough or have any pace. Team that we need to go for....
Gazzaniga
Clyne Fonte Yoshida Fox
Cork Morgan Davis
Ramirez Mayuka
Lambert
Pace on both wings from Clyne one side and Mayuka the other side. Defence wouldn’t get as exposed because Cork and Morgan would be there and Lambert would have both speed (mayuka) and skill (Ramirez) supporting him! Then Lallana (who has been poor, West Ham goal aside) off the bench for one of the midfield 3 if it isn’t going to plan, to go more attacking. Jay Rod for Lambert when he tires..easy! The pace of Mayuka is crucial to stretch the opposing defence and make space for Lambert and Gaston. This formation means that Cork will cover Gaston when he wonders as well.

Most of your teams are too attacking. You can't have Lallana and Gaston in the same team.
Right...Gazzinaga, claim some f***ing crosses! Clyne, potentially a good player, but stop falling over! Yoshida, get some challenges in…decent footballer but too nice! Fonte, too many stupid mistakes. And Fox – positionally is very poor but has a good first touch and cross...obviously need to replace in January.
Steven Davis and Schniederlin…not good enough at the moment, too easy for opposing teams! Lallana, lazy at times and style over substance (same as Ramirez)….Jay Rod works very hard with no end product, Lambert does nothing but you feel he could score…

This is a thread about Guly
Nice witty response, but you fail to ever argue clearly when challenged and proved wrong.
-
Out of the team tonight, Guly is a better player than: Hooiveld, Seaborne, Butterfield, Chaplow and De Ridder
He is probably on par with Lee, Ward-Prowse and Davis. Currently superior than Reeves and only Mayuka would be put ahead of him in 1st team selection....yet you blame Guly....get a grip!
-
IMO:
Guly is lazy, ineffective and uninspiring, I can understand why people will boo him and respect peoples right to do so.
I lost respect for Guly as a football player last season (Pompey away) he has not (imo) had a good game since.
Haha ridiculous. The next game he scored twice in a 2-0 win against Crystal Palace.
Guly has come up against a stupid amount of criticism since he has been at the club. Had some idiot in the away game last year at Coventry, slagging off Guly from the beginning. Only shutting up when Guly headed in his second of the match.
For some reason, idiotic football fans feel the need to point the blame on one player as the reason for the whole team being poor...Danny Fox away at Arsenal this season being a prime example.

Anyone know any good streaming sites?

17th and a cup run was always good enough for me in our first season back. Others may have wanted more, but that's enough for me. Depending on how we play the rest of the season, I might even keep Adkins if we go down. Mcmenenemy relegated us before promotion and the cup win.
We've been spoilt by a manager who earned his shot, and has worked his way up through the non-leagues. He has delivered back to back promotions over two seasons at the first time of asking. He has us playing attractive football (if somewhat open).
Yet some on here want him sacked after 8 games. 8. What a ****ing joke. Do people think that is truly a 'fair crack of the whip'. Who should we appoint? Steve Bruce? Mick Mcarthy? Harry dickhead Redknapp (The amnesiacs and Tvvats favourite. Little clue, he was a bungy manager then who didn't give a sh1t, nothing has changed now).
Oh and just because the same posters make 100 different threads on the same subject, does not mean the 'silent majority' want him gone. It just means you're making a circle jerking 'echo chamber' of "sack the manager" that nigh on 70% (comfortably over 2/3) of users who want Adkins to stay on here can't be bothered to get into, beacause you'll just bore them to death by spamming the threads.
Absolutely spot on, he has given us a fantastic couple of years, playing great football on the deck. Tactically yesterday he got it spot on, just poor defensive errors (that obviously we must eradicate) cost us again. He will turn it around, give him a proper chance FFS! In Nigel we trust.

Lets try and something to a slightly different tune for once..
-
To the ooooh Balotelli song
ooooh manu mayuka
He's a striker, from Zambia
Scored a goal against ghana in the cup of africa
He can do backflips better than steve de ridder
okkk lyrics not quite there but tune could work...
-
Stevie....Stevie De Ridder RUN DOWN THE WING FOR ME DUH DUH, DUH DUH DUH, DUH DUH,
DUH DUH DUH, DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH
Stevie.....Stevie De Ridder RUN DOWN THE WING FOR ME
Would be great to get going!
-
He will be quality in a few years.
Really shows how some people don't properly understand football. It was clear that someone with a first touch and awareness as good as his was always going to make. It is like the people that thought Barnard was a better player than Lambert last year...
-
Big fan of the Neil Shipperly one, would love to hear that on saturday when he bangs in his hatrick!
-
Surely the beautiful Brett Ormerod should get an honorable mention!? Although fair play to him for ****ging both posh spice and Kev Phillips' wife.
-
(to oh crouchy crouchy)
oooooh Tadanari, he came from Japan...
to eat your dog!
Next song please....

Surely morgan is worthy of that song, could do something better for tadanari.
Morrrrgan
where ever you may be
you eat snail in your home country
but it could be worse you could be a skate
****ging your mum on a council estate.
Something really needs to be done about the support, i thought I came up with a start of song to agadoo (bare with me) just a few lines short of a good song
Southampton ton ton we're the best team in the land
Southampton ton ton Nigel Adkins is our man
......
I think the oooh Tadanari song (man city balotelli song) is a better more upbeat one than the one mentioned on this thread.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x60TCoiOxJg
Oooh Tadanari, he's a striker, he's from Japan
Scored a goal against the Aussies with a volley from a cross
Came to southampton to show that he's the boss...
OOoooh Tadanari
This was taking off some other thread, i think the words could be fine-tuned but it's a start. We need a few sheets printed and handed out at an away game (next saturday!?), just like with the Rickie Lambert song, our only slightly interesting song.
or for the more simple fans, to the harry and jim tune.
Tadanari is red and white (LEE)
Tadanari is red and white (LEE)
Obviously not the best, but something a bit different to our usual song.
orr to the ohh crouchy crouchy song
'Ohhhh Tadanari, He came from Japan
To eat your dog'
Few ideas that are genius is you ask me! haha the drink is kicking in.
-
I think it has to be to the 'oooooh balotelli' tune.
None of this lee will rock you rubbish. Someone needs to decide on the best lyrics, print of a few song sheets and hand them out saturday. Get them going in the pubs, then the song will spread nicely.
'OOOOOhhh Tadanari.......'
